Can't go wrong with bar food. The environment and the servers/bartenders were where it was at. Loved sitting in an old style pub/library for a pint, a vegan burger and a chat. The vegan nachos were very good. Cheap and cheerful too! Relaxing at its best.

It's certainly not cheap but there's plenty of choice - drinks and food. The building is interesting architecturally, and there is an outdoor area with bench seating. LGBT friendly.
Speedy service, good selection of drinks (no tennents) which were slightly overpriced (it is during the fringe however) and the atmosphere is great. Would definitely reccomend

Stopped here while visiting Edinburgh. Drinks are reasonably priced, pool was free. Nice chilled atmosphere. Staff were friendly. Would definitely drink here again

Lovely venue, staff friendly and helpful - no cocktails (no proper). A bit loud if you're not a student, so at least it isn't a library atmosphere.

A really nice student bar with amazing ambience of Teviot. You can get some standard pub food (nachos, burgers, pizzas) plus a selection of soft drinks and beers (bottle and tap). Best part is definitely the way it looks, with a balcony overlooking the bar and hundreds of books in cases on all walls
