We hired the Clay Oven catering service for a birthday party at home and they prepared lots of food, very delicious at a great price to feed 70people. It was delivered hot and started hot for ages. We also have enough frozen for the coming weeks too. Would highly recommend this place.

This restaurant serves some really good curry in a friendly and welcoming environment. The staff are attentive, polite and knowledgeable. The menu is varied without being overbearing. This is a really lovely little restaurant. It is warm and cosy inside, not a huge place but really welcoming and the staff are all really friendly and nice. They gave us plenty of time to peruse the menu, which you need as there are so many options to choose from! The food itself is amazingly good,

They do a wide range of dishes, with something for everyone. Although I've been several times, I've only ever been as part of a fairly large group, and they've always been very good at dealing with the number of people we've brought along.
I ate at the restaurant some years ago. It was ok. But I got a delivery from their takeaway a few days ago and it was absolutely lovely. Quick delivery friendly service. Food hot and very tasty. I'll be back for more.
Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious - perfectly spiced for flavour, not just heat. Would highly recommend.
We just had a lovely dinner! The food was cooked well with fresh vegetables and less oils that you find in other places. We could feel the ingredients. The papadoms were like the home made ones so crispy non fried. And also the naan bread was so tasty again with less oils. Really good time. :)
After the closure of my favourite Indian Restraunt in Penicuik "Clippers" I travelled out to the clay oven takeaway. As per usual friendly staff, excellent service and the food was outstanding. So glad I can now get access to my favourite Indian food again.
