This bistro is wonderful! It has the most delicious sweet treats and the scones were delicious. We had the scones and chocolate mint slice with Earl Grey tea and coffee on our first visit. The second visit, because we liked the place so much, we had a berry smoothie, tea, toast with butter and raspberry jam, and a tablet ( fudge). Everyone was super friendly and made us feel at home.
Also, pet friendly!
Great cafe which I love going to, Paula who owns the cafe is such a friendly welcoming woman, fresh home baking is wonderful home made scones.Jackie the manager is a lovely person who is great with little one I nanny for and my friends children having soft toys to entertain them.
The soups are always very nice with a nice warm roll.

My parents regularly visit and took us for lunch on our visit to Edinburgh. We had our dog who was warmly greeted with treats and a bowl of water. Really friendly staff and delicious food - didn’t sample the cakes but look lovely! We would recommend and look forward to returning. Thank you
Great place for 🏴 breakfast. Staff very, very friendly. Food was brilliant, particularly the haggis. Gave the dog of bowl a water to make her feel welcome 👏
Absolutely fab breakfast. So tasty. Staff so friendly. Jackie even held my daughter’s baby so she could eat in peace!! Def worth a visit.
We really love this place. The food is delicious and Paula is so welcoming and friendly, especially with our young son. We've been for lunch and dinner. The steak was cooked perfectly and the cheesecakes are on another level! Also love the selection of Mellis cheese in deli. We're so lucky having this place on our doorstep :)
The food was delicious; there was a wide variety to choose from! The cafe is cozy and welcoming. The real star here is the people - all the staff and the owner were so friendly and gave us wonderful suggestions of things to do around the city. We will be back!
My first visit to the Village Bistro for a latte and bacon roll. Bought a lovely fruit scone to take away also as was very impressed with food and service. Prompt attention and competitive price. I shall return for lunch soon.
Outstanding service and food, baked pastries, scones, hearty breakfast items and the best of it all! The atmosphere is quaint, cozy rustic, relaxing and welcoming! You'd be surprised how much of a great time you'll have! -Paul and Angela
This cafe is such a blessing for us locals. Paula and Jacqui make you feel so welcome. Great quality affordable food and a friendly atmosphere for 2 and 4 legged friends! Have been taking all my friends.
