I was in for several hours reading and working. I was using the app to order drinks so I didn't have to leave my stuff for too long. Staff were friendly and pleasant.

Our 1st meal in Scotland so we went to "old faithful" and had a nice snack.

A busy store, no real problems. Service was smooth and seating available. Starbucks - please sort out the beggar outside the front door on the pavement. It is not nice as a tourist to be harassed for money upon entry and exit to a Starbucks, both as a Scottish native and when showing a companion the sights of Edinburgh. It's the reason you dropped a star.

Really friendly staff in here. Usually busy due to its central location, but a reasonable amount of seating. The usual brand of coffee, so it's either your thing or it isn't. Decent Wi-Fi, which means it's normally full of people enjoying their coffee with their heads buried in their laptops.

Music really loud- almost twice as loud as "background music" should be in my opinion (downstairs). But Starbucks is good for cheapo's like me- 1.60 for a tall filter coffee and no "you've been here too long- get out" vibes from the staff.

The top floor is a cosy and practical place to sit (and eat) if you are bringing your laptop (comfortable built-in sofa). Up here you are also sheltered from the main entrance (on the level below) and less distracted by people coming and going. Don't care much about the the aircondition up here sending out rather cold air, though! An extra plus for customers not needing a key to get to the toilets, like many other Starbucks (consistency would be nice!).

This is my local (to work) branch of Starbucks. I wouln't reccomend it as a place to sit in as its always pretty busy. There is always a queue but the staff deal with it pretty swiftly, taking orders in advance of you reaching the till - so decide what you want as soon as you walk in!

Lovely wee Starbucks. The staff are always cheerful and chatty and the decor having just been redone is rather nice. Like many other Starbucks in Edinburgh it has its own character :)

Vety nice stuff out there, provide nice service, there is seating downstairs and toilets as well, this place is located in city centre on the corner of castle st and george st, affordable prices and good service makes this place one of my favorate sturbucks, only one downside is that food could be more fresh. Excellent coffee but not food. After all I recomend this place, not everywhere you can feel welcome lime in this cafe.
