Been to the Robins Nest a couple of times and I had the best fish I have had in ages. The reviews seem to be giving it a hard time, and for a pub meal it really was lovely.
I went through to the bar and the guys through there were really friendly. The manager and bar staff really got involved with the guys behind the bar and were up for a bit of banter.
Great combination of a local friendly pub that also serves some real quality food too.
Great place for food and drink, staff welcoming and friendly.. Would recommend this to anyone, such good value for money
My daughter and myself visited yesterday for lunch after quite an absence because of previous bad service/waiting for lounge to serve drinks(up to twenty mins and overall bad management) However we were PLEASANTLY surprised at the great service,great food and staff that were excellent !!!! Special thanks to all the staff on duty on Sat 25th and especially Jules who was cheery and very helpfull throughout. Well done at the MASSIVE difference. We will be back and also spread the word. Only thing i would recommend is a bell at the lounge bar as its quite hard for staff to hear if they are in the bar.
At a wedding reception there on Sat 14th April food was lovely and the staff couldn’t do enough for us had a great afternoon
Had a meal with friends today food was delicious had hunters chicken very reasonable price as well excellent for lunch menu will be back again .
i was up last year and had sunday lunch it was terrible ,but was there last night food was amazing and they have lots of gin yum yum be going there lots now ���
No a bad pub place was booming, went there for a drink and some tidys came in mental night ended up roasting one of the dirties wi ma pal in the disabled toilets. Couldnae remember much after that but i woke up wi a sare arse and £40 up so i have to give it a 4 instead of 5.
Good Place. If you're looking for a nice little place to eat lunch in the Robins Nest is a great place to stop off at. They do good food overall and don't tend to make you wait longer than expected. A great family place.

We took our grandson for lunch on Tuesday 4th of July, the food and service were excellent, the meals were well presented and delicious. Our grandson enjoyed his fish and chips, followed by a substantial bowl of Ice cream... top marks to the Robins nest.
Food was lovely, served really quickly. Gabriel was excellent, went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and also kept the children (and adults) entertained throughout our visit. Highly recommend.

I had a lovely reunion lunch with some uni friends at Robin's Nest. Food was very reasonably priced, delicious and fresh (I had a chicken wrap). Their portions were adequate too. Would definitely revisit if given the chance.
Food very freshly prepared,service very good, staff very attentive. We had a Groupon voucher but will be back as menu reasonably priced and good value for money. Wine very good value, not ripped off like some places.

Friendly and honest member of staff. I was charged twice and didn’t realise and the staff member came to our table to tell me. Food was delicious. Reasonably priced.

First time at our new 'local' wasn't disappointed. Good choice of food on menu. Nice atmosphere and staff friendly. Ribs were really good, tender fell of the bone, sweet potato fries were so good we wished we got two bowls! If you go on their website they have all allergy and dietary information of all meals and sides. More places need to do this!
