Great pub. Just the kind of place I would like to own myself. ;) Very welcoming light and airy. Nice touches. Fab beers. Loved the piano bar. On a night of raining cats and dogs..it was a haven. Top rated.

Genuinely never been, but if a ukulele player (who hasn’t actually visited) can give a 1 star review because a ukulele club made a god awful racket, I feel this ukulele player needs to give a 5 star review, balance needs to be redressed. Also, I have friends who love this place and I trust their judgement.

Brilliant wee boozer! Great selection of drinks at good prices, good folk on both sides of the bar, pizza delivery from Origano, decent tunes on rotation, loads of fun events and party nights mean that myself and the crew get lured in frequently and we've not been sorry yet. Great tunes, great booze, great people, and it's dog friendly - what's not to like? I'd give a sixth star if I could!

Great pub run by Toby and Jonny who by their own admission shouldn't be running a pub. But they do and they do it brilliantly. Best selection of quality beers in Edinburgh.

I have never visited but read a story about the ungrateful lady who forgot her dog.. so great that you camped out in your pub with the pooch until they were reunited!

We had a lovely welcome with Toby and the Dr they didn't mind us singing and they didn't shout at us when we did leap frogs over their stools. I had lots of wine and suffered heartburn then the dr solved it with his voice sweets . All in all a fantastic night with good company. Also good music!

We had a fantastic time playing Classic 50's Rock'N'Roll Dreadnought Leith. Toby and staff kept the very busy pub clientele refreshed with a supurb selection of well-priced beers and cocktails. Excellent venue.. See ya again soon!

Superb addition to the north Edinburgh drinking scene. Great beers, mixing local (Pilot from Leith) and not so local (Brass Castle from the north east of England) ales. Friendly staff. Great music. Excellent tie up with Origano Pizzeria in Leith - they deliver your order to the pub. Well worth seeking out - you can get a pint in the Village then wander down North Fort Street to the Dreadnought for a small but perfectly formed pub crawl!

Fantastic local pub. Very welcoming and an ever changing selection of excellent beer. Staff are full of chat and controversial opinions about the musical output of 1997. The Dreadnought is a credit to the area. Well worth seeking out.

A wonderful pub, tucked away on a quiet street. Huge windows give the bar a light, open feel, there's lots of seating outside and the range of beers on tap is fantastic. Not to mention as well the large amount of charity work they do. One of my favourite pubs.

Can't rate this highly enough. Had heard of it but came across by accident, then on purpose. Should be an easy route but the bridge is closed. Not hard to find another route to the pub. Great atmosphere, very friendly bar tenders, delicious beers and even some nice dogs. Fab place to spend some time, only wish it was close enough to be my local. I'd never leave!

Great spot with a huge selection of fantastic beers and ciders at very reasonable prices. There was also a good selection of nice non alcoholic beers. You can order takeout to eat in. Great atmosphere and there are boardgames for customers to use.

Great vibe. Gay friendly pub that is also a great local. Now easier to get to as it is across the road from the Newhaven tram stop.

As a craft beer drinker, my husband rates this as his favourite bar / pub in Edinburgh for their fantastic selection of beers which are always sold in top condition. They also do a very nice Campari and tonic. The place is very welcoming and is supportive of gender equality. We’ve only been when it’s busy and there’s a good vibe about the place.

This is my one of my favourite pubs run by such lovely people. Atmosphere is relaxed and feels like home. You could easily spend all day here. I come for the cider and it changes regularly and is always delicious!
