Love this place. I have been coming here for nearly ten years and I love the place, both for take-away and a restaurant meal. They used to do a lunch buffet every day although now only do this on Fridays, still worth the price though. Decor is slightly dated but nice and cosy and I tend to like a bit of retro so five stars from me :)
Loved China Palace! Great food and lovely staff would def recommend to all Chinese food lovers.
I'd been to China Palace a few times for the lunch deal and thought the food was ok but recently tried the a la carte menu at night and its fantastic. There's a huge selection, the seafood in particular is very good quality and prices are very reasonable. The wine list is also very good. I have also ordered takeaway which was almost as good as sitting in and had lots of offers such as free food/beers when you order over a certain amount. Staff have always been very nice and service is efficient! A great find!
We visited this place while we were on a short trip to Edinburgh. We were pleasantly surprised by the food quality and overwhelmed by the exceptional service. We went for the banquet menu and received a bottle of wine with it. Both the wine and the courses were great and the waiter was really friendly. I don't write reviews very often but this place was exceptional and definitely deserves more recognition. Will definitely eat here again!

Toilets facilities could do with an upgrade however.
What a lovely place, food is very good as well as the decor . Toilets are not so good. Kind of gets lost in translation when you order but if you go with the 'Faulty Towers' approach and don't expect a 5 star experience then you will definately enjoy. Would recommend. They are very busy with takeaways that come rushing through the restaurant intermittently. Ate here twice in 8 months.

Myself and my wife ordered Spicy chicken wings for starters, followed by Lemon chicken and boiled rice and Special Chow Mein.
The starter and mains were absolutely lovely, I'll definitely be back trying something else from the menu.
Good meal, quality of food high though I've had better, was there with party of six, service was prompt we all had our dishes served at the same time all where hot.
Large selection of dishes on menu, would happy go again.
A really decent meal. Well priced. The pork buns and har gow were great. Lacked a little atmosphere but then again it was a Tuesday night so could expect it to be bustling. I’d go back for sure.
Food was cooked really well and service was fab. True, not the most amazing interior but I can overlook this as I was not looking for an evening of glam dining. Rather found food that really enjoyed hence the five stars.
I had a delicious meal with good portion size. Only issue is parking as it is common for the area. Dumplings are most delicious for a reasonable price.
The service is exceptionally fast, and the food is brilliant, especially their Szechuan dishes. Their portion sizes are standard but nonetheless filling and tasty for what you get.
Lovely meal, great service. All in all very nice. Only SMALL gripe is the heating could have been turned up a little.
Wow this is a fantastic takeaway just mixed up my order gentleman phoned back and helped me fix my order plus put spring rolls as a soz., But this aside the freshness the taste the quailty of the food is excellent must try. Thumbs up guys.

Maybe the delivery drivers need a separate place to wait as I could hear their conversation from the other side of the restaurant. I'm no shrinking violet but I didn't appreciate one of them swearing loud enough for me to clearly hear.

Very good food. The banquet is exceptionally good value as well. Our waiter (slightly older guy) was very friendly and funny.
