Fantastic little bar. Comfy couches, good music and a superb selection of craft beers. The free WiFi and device charging points make it a perfect remote workspace too.

The veggie sausage rolls are worth it even when considered in isolation. However, the excellent array of beers, and the fact that this venue supplies free sanitary products for caught-short women in their toilet, makes it a winner. Loses a star for the music though (dear GOD the music....).

Top bar, always a good selection and doing carry out through the lockdown. The power of sampling draught ale after so long had me unable to remember going to bed. Highly reccomend.

Great selection of beers and very peaceful and quiet atmosphere (that probably depends on time of a day/year however). Been there with the person who despises dark beers, but she ended up taking home two pints of plum porter (and yes, they sell take-away beer in wee paper boxes) - amazing!

Nice wee pub, immediately inviting and very laid back atmosphere. Nicely decorated with plenty of books and board games. Good selection of drinks and knowledgeable staff. Seems to be fairly quiet most of the time. Enjoyed the rugby and atmosphere.

This is a lovely quiet pub (Monday to Thursday anyway) with a great beer selection and a few ciders too. The bar staff are friendly and welcoming. There's free phone charging with cables provided. The decor is homely and feels a bit like an old time pub, lots of reclaimed and upcycled wooden furniture. Very accessible if you're in a wheelchair, and dogs are very welcome.

Amazing beer selection, comfortable vibes and good music selection. I was lucky enough to be offered to sample a complimentary dish from the upcoming menu launch whilst having my beer! Lovely food and great staff. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Cheers guys.

The food here is really good, and they have good vegetarian options in addition to the meaty ones. The veg scotch in particular was fabulous. Nicely decorated and good vibes inside and very broad and interesting selection of beers on draught.

Very good selection of cask & keg, plus a long list of bottle beers. Lovely eclectic decoration, relaxed atmosphere, and you can find out about the history of the name.

The Steel Coulson Tap is a wee independently run pub in Leith. It has one of the best real ale selections in Edinburgh both on cask and keg. A small kitchen supplies you with standard pub nibbles, but the best reason to go to the Coulson is the beer, but then that is the best reason to go to a pub isn’t it?

Went there a couple of weeks ago on spec - great selection of cask ales (not ones I'd seen before). Tried 2 - both very good. Well run, clean and friendly, so I'm going again next week

A bright airy well laid out spacious bar in an unprepossessing Leith side street, Leith ain't what it used to be. And with a good range of keg and cask conditioned beverages at prices as low as £3 ish which is increasingly rare in the area these days an entirely acceptable place to spend a few hours on a quiet Sunday evening
