A lovely place in a great location. Close to the Royal Mile. The prices are not too expensive, especially considering the location. The food was delicious and tasty. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

One of the best Gelato shop proudly located at Cockburn street, connected with Royal miles offers many choices of gelato flavours. Mostly the texture is very soft and creamy which is great Stracciatella, hazelnut, salted caramel and pistachio are among the recommended. Sorbet flavours served with cone are not my cup of tea to be honest. Recommended to experience in all season.

The ice cream was amazing but the service is even better. The ginger guy is so nice. He prepared the ice cream in such a fabulous way and he’s so comedic and just has great customer service overall. Couldn’t catch his name, but the other guy Sam is amazing as well. They both scooped my ice cream in such a perfect way.

It's such an amazingly cosy and convenient place. Not just ice cream!! Had a lovely lunch with my sister before I got tea train home. Its a simple menu but done with a love for food and an appreciation for flavour. I had the soup, which could have been simply sloshed in a bowl, but instead, it was beautifully presented and tasted fab 👌.

Great atmosphere, lovely people. Tried the eggs benedict with smashed avocado. Didn't love the avocado, but the rest was delicious

The strawberry&mango sorbet is very fresh / tiramisu needs a little more coffee for me. Another cup is a carrot cake flavour, which i found too sweet, but there is a carrot cake piece, and I like this kind of texture, and the second is Ferrero Rocher, which is my favourite. I like this and strawberry mango the most.

Highly recommended. I’ve tried a bunch of other Edinburgh ice cream shops with good ratings, and I’d say this one’s the best as far as execution goes. I had White Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, Cinnamon, and Caramel Whisky, and they were all amazing. The texture is great, and the flavors are stronger and more true to what they’re supposed to be than in other shops I went to. The flavors available when I was there were all fairly straightforward (and there were 12 or 14 in total, I think), so the only knock would be that there aren’t any wildly inventive ones yet (except for Caramel Whisky and you also rarely see Gianduja). But I was told those are coming, too, and since the execution of the current ones is pretty much flawless, I’d for sure put this place very high on Edinburgh’s ice cream shop list.

This gelato shop was SO great! I went in for 2 scoops and after I finished I had to go in for another because it was so delicious! Their special of the day was matcha green tea and it was so smooth and a very good flavour! I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly and gave us a recommendation of somewhere to visit. Will 100% be back when I'm next in Edinburgh.

On a winters day, we decided to have ice cream.....and not just any ice cream, but we crowded into Artisan Gelato of Edinburgh. 10 of us in a group, and all of us enjoyed the smooth creamy flavourful gelatos. Great variety of flavours, no synthetic nasties and really delicious big portions that both kids and adults enjoyed. Would definitely visit again, regardless of weather:))

Lovely and bright place for breakfast or lunch. The staff were so lovely and accommodating, making recommendations and letting me go off menu so I could just order a plate of the breakfast items I was craving. Followed up my meal with some gelato - I recommend the coffee flavour - super yummy! They have 1 gender neutral toilet and plug sockets under the benches. So it’s a great traveller’s rest stop.

The service here is great, and I would say this is the best gelato I've had in Edinburgh! The dark chocolate and cheesecake flavours are amazing. Next time will definitely try the pistachio one!

Stopped in here as we fancied some ice cream despite it being a freezing cold day! The girls were very friendly and the ice cream was tasty (almost too authentic tasting coffee flavour, I was expecting more of a vanilla latte style ie sweet rather than quite an unsweet strong flavour but I should have asked for a taster. Also the chocolate chip could have had more chocolate in but again it was tasty so it didn't matter too much). £6.50 for 2 medium sized scoops did feel a bit tight but I suppose it's local artisan ice cream made in Edinburgh so probably a reasonable price to charge. It was quiet which may have explained the quite cold/uncosy atmosphere and I did find having the radio on with lots of adverts rather an unusual choice for background music. I would visit again but mostly as there didn't seem to be much choice for ice cream in the Old Town.

Tried the famous whisky ice cream with raspberry flavour on top of it for only £6.50! So worth it! The place is cozy as well!

Let you sample if unsure. Good selection of ice cream. Went back the following day. Some different flavours. We had orange sorbet, chocolate orange toblerone and kinder Bueno cheesecake. All delicious!
