We were looking for a breakfast place behind Princes Street at around 11 am. Most of the places on the street are restaurants that cater to lunch/dinner.
After walking a bit, we came across Rose Street Cafe. It's a small place but was buzzing with customers.
My criteria for a good place to eat is on
Having been awake 26 hours by the time we landed in Edinburgh, we were in dyer need of food. A quick Google for "vegetarian breakfast" and this cafe was top of the list in Edinburgh, and for a good reason.
A short stroll from the Princes Street Tram Stop and down a lane was the cafe. We were greeted
Lorne sausage & potato scone roll was delicious, and the fresh orange juice was perfect! I had breakfast here two years prior, and came back & ate here two mornings in a row because it was so good.
Very satisfying breakfast served by kind and friendly people on a Sunday morning.
Got the vegetarian breakfast and the French toast along with warm drinks. Sufficient portions for both the belly and the mind. Nice and easy. Would recommend, especially for tourists new to the city.
This cute cafe has so much charm. The staff were accommodating and very polite. Definitely a must visit.
Recommend the smashed avocado.
Absolutely delicious spot! The interior is a little chaotic but it’s cute, and the food is lovely: we for jacked potatoes 🥔 the portions were huge and super tasty!
Very clean, staff polite and friendly.
Food was excellent.
For a city centre cafe the prices were very fair, will recommend it and definitely go back.
Family of six. Ate here both mornings for brunch because it was perfect for us. Shared adult potions between kids with no objection. Lovely ingredients. Nice coffee. Freshly prepared in kitchen beside table. Bustling and friendly.
Great place to have a meal and/or a drink. The food was delicious and prepared quite quickly at good price. Outstanding, friendly and welcoming staff. You can sit outside and enjoy a bit of sunshine, the street is not very busy or noisy or inside- enjoying cosy interior. The tables are in reasonable
Both the soup of the day potato leek and bourbon sauced wings were excellent. Lots of seating and music wasn't too loud. Great venue.
Brilliant food brilliant service, nice clean and great choice of food, brilliant cappuccino too. The salad I had was delicious and it wasn't just nice on the top and dry on the bottom, it was the same all the way through.
Its a little cafe with plenty of space though about 5 tables for 4 and a littl
Very nice and helpfull staff. Haggis here was really spicy. It had heavy taste after black pepper. Gravy wasnt so salty so you can manage the taste how do you like. In the back is beef burger. My son said it was tasty and returned empty plate. In the restaurant is also a lot cakes choices. Sudenly i
Amazing place to have a cup of tea or coffee and some light bites like cakes! We tried the marlenka honey and walnut cake which was delicious! Our waitress, Barfin was always there to address any question we had. We are definitely coming back here when we visit Edinburgh next time.
The only thing we
Amazing Scottish breakfast, teas and coffees. I've been twice now and will keep going back. Great service and staff there too. Super friendly and helpful.
A very comfortable and home feeling, especially for the old fashioned. Wonderful food and very cheap for the portions 10/10 🤍🕊️
A very nice restaurant to have a delicious classic Scottish dinner in, the service was great, the food was great, and atmosphere was very fun. There is bar downstairs(which we didn’t go to) and an amazing restaurant portion on the second floor!
