Leith's best kept secret. A really special place with a warm welcome, great atmosphere, good food, good company and excellent entertainment.
Everything about this place is amazing. Best place in Edinburgh for breakfast, great drinks, cannot wait to try dinner and very dog friendly. Will be making this place my local
First time here and I loved everything about this place! Very friendly and accommodating service in this cosy corner establishment. I popped in for lunch, the food is delicious, smells great and is very well priced. There is a warm atmosphere, decor and I'm in love with the art work scattered around the room. It is dog friendly and if I lived here it would surely be my local, it is just so good! My daughter lives just down the road so I'll be back in there everytime I come to visit.

The Elbe Room it's only a secret for those who don't go out of Leith Walk, Cowgate and Princes Street. Best corner on The Shore and more! Love it!! :)
The staff yesterday afternoon 8 th April were amazing. Highly recommended and so helpful when we called in.
Amazing place. Superb food, service and quality prices, what more do you need
Was back here yesterday for the first time in months and it was like we have never been away. Great friendly banter love it. Won't leave it so long next time x
Un posto molto accogliente con un'ottima cucina dove i proprietari hanno i sorrisi più belli di Edimburgo! :)
Best place in leith... in Edinburgh... in the world!
great food fantastic price and very warm welcome... such a nice place to relax..
I was in here last night and Janette & Paul were so welcoming. Wonderful music and good quality drink. Cafe by day, bar by night. Quirky art work by Paul also really beautiful and adds to the laid-back mellow vibes. I wish I lived back in Edinburgh again because this would definitely be my new local but I'll be back anytime I'm in Edinburgh. x
Simple - must not be missed. Great food and service!
I’d heard a few rumours that the Elbe Room was doing good work and had consequently had it on my list for a visit for a wee while. On a day that brought a chill to the bone, I had the opportunity to pop in. The location is just slightly out of the way so has seen a brisk turnover in recent years. I can remember it as The Galley and the Wine Barrel Steakhouse, and I have a nagging suspicion it was something else briefly in between. The Elbe Room seems to have established itself, though, so that’s good to see.
Lovely wee place, with well priced, generous and absolutely delicious portions. The café was very clean and neat, with friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere - perfect for a lazy weekend afternoon.
Unquestionably the best breakfast in Edinburgh! The coffee is fantastic, the food is piping hot, very well presented, of a good portion size and completely delicious. What's more, its excellent value for money, the atmosphere is nice, service is great and the staff are lovely to boot. A total hidden gem.
Fantastic place. Great quality food. Lovely craft beers. Friendly staff and locals and excellent tunes!
My fiancé and me love a late Sunday brunch and the Elbe room is definitely our favourite place in town! Amazing food, amazing service and all freshly cooked. The staff are so accommodating and welcoming. Brilliant find! Give it a go.
Best crispy bacon roll in Edinburgh. Lovely place, cafe in the day and pub at night. Friendly couple who own and run it a very good at looking after you, expert level hospitality.
Recommended for beer and dog lovers as well.
The Elbe Room is an absolute jewel. Best breakfast I have literally ever had and such a welcoming place with great music (and also I get to play there as well 😀). If you are local or visiting then give it a try. You will not be dissapointed
Cracking breakfast, loved the music, was in heaven with probably the best bacon I've tasted in a long time (so that's what it's supposed to taste like!). Free Wifi, not too busy, was a perfect place to get some work done out of the office and will need to come back for the lunch/dinner/beer soon. Thanks!
Came across this cafe by chance and so glad I did. Best toasted sandwich ever (sourdough, bacon (lots of it), avocado (lots of it) and tomato). Great coffee. And 60s and 70s music playing at just the right volume in the background.
Honestly one of the best bars in Edinburgh. Great food. And lovely bar staff who are very accommodating. A great wee bar with a lovely atmosphere.
Agree with Claire; music is awsome. Full gamult from the 60's till now. And decent beer & friendly staff too! What's not to want?
Best breakfast in town. Eith lots of variety. And coffee. Lovely staff. Always friendly and accommodating.
