Friends and I love going to the weekly pub quiz on Sundays. DJ Dougie is a friendly delight and the quiz is a great mix of challenging and feasibly knowable.

Quite a cool place to drop in for a local pub experience. Seats are unique though a bit old. Cocktails are fine, not the better ones though. The nachos come served with just melted hot cheese which makes it nice to begin with.
Second visit for cocktails & nachos groupon deal. Cocktails were nice and so were the nachos, could have been layered with cheese underneath though. Quite a small bar so gets packed easily.

Had a friend's leaving party here and had reserved tables. Nice atmosphere, great selection of cocktails/pitchers and overall would love to come back next time I'm out and about in city centre!
Was in early evening, was quiet, friendly bar staff, music at a decent volume made it easy chatting, we didn't eat but the food did look good. Decent selection of beers and the prices didn't seem a rip off.
Used a voucher for cocktails and nachos. Went just after opening at 4.30 pm. We were alone but the bar was being set up for a themed beach party.The music was 70s so we enjoyed the nostalgia as well as the lovely cocktails .The staff were friendly and attentive.

Visited on the 24th October, really nice looking venue with a good positive atmosphere. We took advantage of a Groupon offer of cocktails which were great. The bar was quiet when we visited, and we found the staff to be attentive and very helpful. Would recommend a visit!
A truly traditional and authentic bar in the wonderful city of Edinburgh. Reasonable value only 6min walk to the Grass market.
Regular at the Dougie pub quizzes. Always a fun atmosphere, even when we do terribly. Staff has always been great as well.

A fantastic bar in the city centre, Dougie runs a fantastic quiz on a Tuesday and Sunday, absolutely worth going to if you've got any sort of knowledge whatsoever.
One of my favourite bars in Edinburgh. Very casual atmosphere, fun decor and a place to let go and get drunk. Nachos are delicious and the cocktails are definitely worth a try.
