Visited Born in the Borders for the first time today. A great place to meet family for a catch up. The sun was shining so we were able to sit outside. The service and food were excellent! The kids had a great time sledging and playing in the fort and down by the river. It's great that dogs are welcome too! Will definitely recommend.
This was our first visit but it will not be our last. The restaurant was lovely and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We had coffee and cake and both were delicious. The service was fast and not pushy and the price was very reasonable. The shop and the brewery were open and worth a visit. We will try out the riverside walks very soon. Well done Born in the Borders 10 out of 10.
Just completed a 1 day course on Home Brewing at Born in the Borders. A very relaxed, fun and informative day learning the art of turning the grain in to beer. Highly recommend and a great day out.
First visit today and what a gem of a place. Food, service and atmosphere all excellent! Could have spent a fortune in the shop - loads of yummy goodies. And the grass sledging was loved by all the kids. We'll definitely be back!
What an amazing place. The best most caring staff I have ever encountered. The food was absolutely delicious. We will be back next weekend!!
Been there twice over this weekend lovely place and staff. Food was very good. Had to spend some pennies in the shop to buy some Gin, so far worth every penny.
Such a fantastic family day & local even better!! Ice skating, sledging, amazing goodies in the shop and lovely friendly staff!!
Had an absolutely brilliant day here today. What a lovely, friendly atmosphere. The skating was brilliant, once we got the hang of it! And the alpaca trekking was really special.
It was the little touches, like blankets for sitting outside at the picnic benches while drinking your hot chocolate and the reindeer food we got from the lady with the alpacas, that made it.
Why go and stand in queues in Edinburgh when we have this on our doorstep.
Well done Born in the Borders for making such an effort x
Great day with the kids we all loved the grass sledging too, restaurant is stunning inside and all staff very welcoming and polite. Will definitely be back.

This was a fantastic store to go shopping at, featuring a Christmas theme and bright lighting all around! The items are well-arranged on their shelves, one of which I bought shortbread biscuits as a present from at a good price and the staff were lovely.
Absolutely gorgeous! A great shop for those who are looking for Scottish pop culture! Loving everything from it.
Kudos also to the salesperson who is super kind and most respectful. :)
Brilliant shop with lots of bits and pieces for gifts.
Not your typically tartan tat Scottish shop, love the Scottish children's books.
Be getting one next time I'm in.
Nice little shop to get bits in
Such a fabulous Scottish shop ! Great atmosphere, top quality products (many of which are made by local Scottish artists and makers) and incredibly friendly staff. 5 stars all the way...
