This was our second trip to Lady Libertine - both times were excellent! Here are 3 things we liked: 1. The most important = very friendly, efficient, and attentive staff. 👏🏼 2. Beautiful decor. The whole vibe is welcoming with modern aspects. 3. The food is outstanding. I loved the torched smoked salmon + lime & peanut slaw. Both were delicious! My boyfriend enjoyed the brisket sandwich.

We had a lovely brunch with family and friends on Sunday. The service was amazing and the food was a an absolute delight! The cocktails were also delicious 😋 Nothing was a problem and it was an absolute pleasure to experience your gorgeous restaurant. Thankyou .

Been here a few times now and we love it. It's an upmarket bar, a little more expensive than other places but we dont mind paying a bit more for the great atmosphere, great decor and the range of drinks on offer which is fantastic. Not had a cocktail we didn't like yet! I like that it's a little hidden away so isn't ever so packed that it takes an age to get served too. Only negative is it can be quite chilly downstairs with the big ceiling fans going. We had to move seats three times on our latest visit to avoid the draught. Will need to try the food one day, as we've only ever had drinks.

Reservations for dinner are needed. Was allowed downstairs to a bigger bar area. Beautiful ambiance!! Great drinks!! Well worth the stop.

One of the best bars in the city! It's a perfect spot for anyone looking for a great night out, whether you're in the mood for a casual drink with friends or a more sophisticated evening of cocktails and conversation. The atmosphere at Lady Libertine is lovely, with a mix of art deco and industrial style that creates a unique and stylish vibe. It's a beautifully designed space that is both elegant and welcoming, and it's a pleasure to spend time here. The drinks are expertly crafted and properly made, and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable about their drinks. They're always happy to make recommendations based on your tastes or suggest something new and exciting to try.

Enjoyed an early dinner here with my spouse. Cocktails were great unique smooth though small portions. Food was good shawarma and baked cauliflower with big portions. Cauliflower is good option for vegan. Long flight of stairs in / out— didn’t see an elevator.

Incredible location and the food is first class. The only thing that impacted our enjoyment is the noise levels. This wouldn't be a problem at all for a smaller group of up to 4 people but for larger groups, it is impossible to hear conversations from one end of the table to the other! It absolutely adds to the atmosphere but don't expect intimate conversation

Very classy underground restaurant with unique decor. Food was outstanding, the Brisket burger was very filling, the banana sponge pudding a bit small. The Waitress could talk for Scotland in the Olympics 🤣 but extremely friendly. Good WiFi too

The Edinburgh Grand Hotel hosts this hip restaurant on its ground and lower levels and it couldn't be more perfect. Love the art deco vibes of the decoration but even more the cocktails and food. Honestly, if you want to have a good time in a gorgeous venue, look no further.

All very nice, but I would say the portions are quite small. We had an issue with one dish which they remade, but everything was tasty. The cocktails were almost comically small, which was a shame as the price didn't reflect the size. We switched to wine, which was excellent. We had one super friendly server and another who wasn't quite as enthusiastic, but was polite. Probably wouldn't rush back with so many other options in the city, but a nice experience.

Nice little lunch spot. Wonderful service. Good food, nice and fresh with vibrant flavours. Probably just needed to warm the sourdough, but aside from that worth the visit.

Finally had a chance to take my friends to Lady Libertine, I’ve been telling them how amazing the food is since my first time here! We almost ordered the whole menu 😅 (5 people), the pictures do not include the desserts: Sourdough bread, Baba ganoush, Fried olive & feta balls, Large Calamari, Roasted butternut squash, Truffle & parmesan fries, Ox cheek croquettes, Slow cooked lamb shawarma, Banana sponge, Hazelnut & dark chocolate brownie. A few comments about the food – it is seriously good. Such strong, well-blended flavours, genuinely impressive! For the savoury courses, I would highly suggest ordering a bit of everything and sharing it all. The desserts we tried were not very suitable for sharing so for next time, we’ll order them individually. Please please order the baba ganoush and the butternut squash, you will not regret it! My only note for improvement – it was my first time trying the lamb shawarma here, it tasted a little gamey (?), maybe could have been marinated a little longer. Have to mention that the service was really good as well, they have a very attentive team who helped us in choosing our dishes. All in all will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu!
