One a wee day out for our 25th wedding anniversary. After sightseeing we were looking for somewhere to eat . The food was the best Indian food i have tasted for a long time , the staff were lovely . and it was spotless . would recommend this place.
What a lovely place. Food was delicious and staff were so friendly. I only went there as i’m From out of town and they were advertised in the hotel book. I was even given a code to have 10% discount. Whilst I was there an older member of staff started clearing away a table and one of the other staff said no please don’t do that. What a respectful young man he was. The food was delicious and I was shocked at how cheap me bill came in at.
Sorry to disagree with the last few review but this place was brilliant! My husband and I attend this place just by the pull of outside. The staff were lovely. Polite, courteous and the food was hot! After paying the wished us well and asked if we where ever in the area again to call in again before giving me a free pen! If we come back to this fantastic place we would be sure to visit this restaurant again. Thank you for a great experience x

Absolutely great food service was excellent nice friendly guy's. the Vindaloo was exceptional one of the best and I’ve had more than a few in my life. My wife’s jalfrazi was very tasty
If we come back to Edinburgh we’ll be back as Arnie would say couldn’t recommend it enough

Lovely meal with excellent service. Food was fresh and not over-spiced like so many places - lovely and subtle and portions just the right size. Nice choice of wines and drinks too.
Lovely staff and especially memorable was the kindness shown when I saw that a previous guest had left her purse in the ladies toilets .... I handed it in to the Manager and he went outside, looking up and down the street to find the owner who was, very fortunately, still nearby. A happy ending to a delicious meal.
Ignore all the negative reviews! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was was amazing and the service was fast. The best Indian dishes that we have had in a long time! We will definitely be back, thank you so much!
Incredible food with very friendly service. Was a really nice evening. Cannot say anything bad about our experience. Would definitely revisit and try out more items from the menu. Reasonably priced as well.
Just utterly incredible food. We decided to travel via Edinburgh just so we could pop in. My favourite Indian place in the UK. The food is very tasty with very strong flavours. Their garlic chilli dish is my favourite curry I've ever had
Walked in off the street @ 2100 and recieved a warm welcome by staff, we were shown straight to a table and given menus.
The service was great and the food was lovely from start to finish.
Definitely a good choice in Edinburgh and we will be going again when we're back in the city.
These guys have the place spotless and nothing is a problem for them.

Fantastic time here! Wonderful food, some of the best Indian I've had worldwide! Can't recommend enough. Large menu with lots of options, plenty if you're gluten free or vegetarian. Serves enough for two meals too, so come prepared!

Really enjoyed the food here but after reading some of the reviews I'm now starting to understand why it come to so much at the end. We were on holiday so spending a lot of money of food wasn't such a big deal but as I mentioned, after reading some of these reviews I understand why a meal for 2 people reached £70.
I didn't get a chance to look at the receipt to have a proper thorough look, but like other reviews mentioned about the poppadom starter... we were under the impression that it would be slices with our meal and not an entirely different starter from what we already ordered.
But the meal was enjoyable and I'm not angry at how much we spent as it will probably a one time thing going here.
Really good food, meat tender, spices enough for us. Only thing was garlic nann not very thick and pilau more on the Chinese side of rice. Would recommend and come again. It is downstairs for anyone with mobility issues
Good Indian food!
Price is decent too, the quantity is adequate. We were four people ordered tandoori roti, puri, two gravy, half tandoori chicken. This was enough as the roti and puri is huge.
The staff is friendly and took care of our order well.
I recommend the rogan josh!
We were staying in Glasgow but travelled over to do some site seeing in Edinburgh. It was my boyfriend’s birthday so we popped in for food before travelling back. Wow the food was AMAZING and the staff were super friendly. The staff and customers also all joined in to sing Happy Birthday to my bf. We will definitely be back again when next in town.
