Up from southampton for weekend to visit cousins from Ireland and those living in Edinburgh asked for pub in walking distance choose kilted pig. Made reservation for 8 table for 5.30 on sunday night. On arrival it was busy sunday football on 2 big screens not to noisy immediately waitress there took order for wine then starters and main.starters arrived altogether great start. Then mains arrived again altogether one burger not right immediately taken and recooked. Found staff friendly and attentive and good food. very good would recommend it for a visit.
I was in the pub to watch the football. It was extremely busy but the bar staff and waitresses did a great job taking orders and delivering food/drinks. The food was lovely too. And something I didn't expect was that the whole pub went quite and honoured the minutes silence at the beginning of the game in hour of Manchester and London attacks. Very respectful.
I have just had the most fabulous night in this pub. Keanna was serving us she was brilliant Food was incredible drinks even better... anyone around looking for a good local here is your place xxx
Best pub in Edinburgh, great food, great banter, great atmosphere, great people. 🍻🍻🍻🍻
Really well looked after by all the staff, great big screen to watch the football, and the food was top notch !
Amazing atmosphere at the kilted pig, staff are very friendly 😘

Best boozer in the toon! Food and great selection of beers and nips .
Had a lovely family reunion on the 14th of August , great food very nice staff ! Was a great time had by all 😃
Gorgeous food and ambience. Highly recommended :)
Great service and put the football on the big screen despite me being the only person remotely interested. Food was great and well priced
Saturday morning breakfast, first time here, certainly not disappointed & certainly won't be our last visit. 2 for 1 on Full Scottish Breakfast before 11.30am, even at 11.45, we were offered the deal. Food was fantastic, service extremely friendly, made us feel most welcomed.
Atmosphere & decor cosy & relaxing, great place to spend time to chill after a late night.
Our next visit will be evening meals, review to follow for that one.
Brilliant! Have been here twice now, the first time was to eat and second time for a few drinks on a Friday after work. This establishment has changed hands a few times and is what I would class as my 'local'. It has been The Kilted Pig for a while now, but it recently had a refurbishment.
When I ate there, the food portions were big and my friends and I were pleasantly surprised :-) I had chicken fajitas to eat and my friends had one of the burgers and we all left stuffed. Although there was football on the day we went, other people who were watching it weren't noisy and were quite happily watching the game with a pint. They have a huge big screen people can watch sports on. When I went there for Friday drinks it wasn't overly crowded and i thought it was nice that the people who were all there varied in age. The staff also vary in age which is lovely. In regards to service, the staff were very polite and friendly - especially the guy who I imagine may be the Manager/Supervisor.
Will be coming here again very soon!
Great food, great atmosphere, ice cold beers and chips with pepper sauce. Sports on big screen. Very pleasant staff.
Enjoy visiting this local bar.
Always experienced good customer service & great food. Good choice of venue whether it is for a meal, quiet drink with friends or to watch sport on the multiple screens.
Only wish it was slightly larger.
Keep up the good work guys 👍
First visit, but friends and family speak highly of this place.
Quality service, good pub food served in large portions and a nice Guinness pour.
I had their Guinness pie with a haggis starter. Both were portioned large and tasty. Mrs had the lamb shank and tasted it - very nice, almost had food envy.
Will definitely be back before the end of our holiday
High standard of food, very decent prices. Great place for food, drink, or sporting events due to multiple tvs.
Returned again - Food extremely high standard and place was cleaned to a high level. All staff wore masks throughout. Highly recommended.
Visited this pub to watch a live band. The pub was very busy with a great atmosphere. The pub is situated in a very nice area and opposite the pub is a canal that leads back to the city centre area. I will go back to this pub as it will be a great stop on a canal walk that can take you west towards the Water of Leith. I'll try the food then update this post.
Decent pub food and friendly staff. Nice atmosphere.
Lovely lively pub. Went in to watch the grand national. Courteous friendly staff, lovely decor, nice cold beer.
Enjoyed a lovely lunch with family very friendly atmosphere with extensive tasty menu also offering gluten free options
Good Food and great atmosphere especially during big sporting occasions and the food menu is great as well. I would suggest booking a table in advance as you could be disappointed as it fill up fast.
Very agreeable place to have something to eat or drink and with good service. I did find £2.60 for a glass of tonic water a bit steep and I can't imagine why you would call your establishment 'The Kilted Pig' unless you were trying to deter Muslims, Jews, and others.
Good, Scottish fayre at a reasonable price. Staff very good too. Would like to see real ale on the bar.
Great pub with really good food. Friendly service and atmosphere. It's a sports bar but the food menu is very food with options for most tastes.
