Its a lovely place to take your baby/child to. Prices are very reasonable, in fact the quality of everything you'd think it'd be higher.. All staff are friendly and helpful. This is my absolute favourite place to go to for ALL the homemade baking and food. Play area for wee ones and puzzle etc for older ones

A very cozy, luminous coffee shop. It is run by a local church community, many of whom volunteer there! The soups and pastry (scones,...) and that are freshly baked, and of good quality. The coffee was good. They have vegan and vegetarian options and the prices are in general lower than what I've learnt to expect in Edinburgh. For instance, they have options of soup + scone, soup + bacon roll, etc. at 4£! They also have a small fair trade shop with a lot of cute, hand made things, that come from various initiatives in poor countries. I'm not religious, but I still liked the atmosphere of community it created. The staff was friendly and it's also a good place to take kids, since there is a corner dedicated for them to play in. Lovely place, I will go back!

Lovely, unfussy local cafe linked to GDS church and mostly run by volunteers. The staff are friendly and the food is great value. The scones are baked in-house and are delicious, especially if you are lucky enough to get them fresh from the oven in the morning.

Lovely ladies, mostly volunteers. Very helpful and always have a smile on their faces. Great place for a coffee and catch up with a friend. If you have children, even babies/toddlers they can come too, there's a small play area for kids and high chairs. It's spacious inside so you can talk without feeling your conversations are public. There's space for pushchair's too.

I love this place! Very friendly staff, lots of room to sit, great food at very reasonable prices and a real community hub. I have my lunch here twice a week, 5 minutes walk from my office. I've barely sat down and my food is served! I'm in and out in half an hour well fed and watered. Can highly recommend the bacon rolls and soup!

What a wonderful place. It is cozy, friendly and welcoming. There is a little play area for small kids, AND, they serve fabulous gluten free, nut free and dairy free treats, fresh baked on the premises. A haven for any tired parent/grandparent.

Lovely fair trade cafe and shop. Plenty of space for buggies, couple of big sofas and fenced play area for kids with lots of toys. Soups are always super yummy and you can't beat the prices. Staff are always very nice and accommodating.
