The Lodge Coffee House - Edinburgh - Photo album

Really nice little coffee shop on one side of the braid hills. The fruit scones were so good we had to go back and get a second! Not sure if there's any inside seating as everyone seemed to be outside and I couldn't see any signs. So just be prepared and wrap up warm (although the tea or coffee will
Best scones I've ever had (raspberry and white chocolate are perfection). Toasties are also excellent. Great spot to refuel when you've been for a run or a ramble in the Hermitage of Braid / Blackford Hill, and dog friendly.
Served from a window, dog friendly. Sheltered seating. Great selection of huge scones WITH BUTTER AND JAM. Prices reasonable.
Fantastic little coffee shop open offering good value for money. Has a well established clientele of locals dropping in, as well as walkers, some with dogs as it's dog friendly. We particularly like the carry outside seating area, as it's astro turfed, enclosed and has a couple of tables under cov
Lovely man serving. I just had a cup of tea and sat in the sun. If you have your own reusable cup do take it to save using the single use cups provided.
Nice place after a lovely walk. Coffee and soup are good. Sitting outside would be great if it isn't cold. Dog friendly is also a point!
I’ve walked in the Hermitage since I was 5 years old and my mum and I used to talk about how great it would be to open up a little coffee shop. The Lodge Coffee House is the perfect answer to our pipe dream. Even better, it’s lovely and has delicious coffee, which can be hard to come by when it come
Outdoor seating with canopies sheltering tables and chairs. Quick service at the servicing window for homemade soup, toasties. coffee and tea. etc. Just what's needed beige or after a walk through the Hermitage of Braid.
Enjoyed the coffee and fresh cheese scones. There's no indoor seating but there are seats under canopy.
Long wait as very few staff. Raspberry and choc scones delicious.
As always it was fab - delicious crepe and good coffee - photo from the hotel just up the road
We visit semi-regularly with our son and two shelties and we absolutely love it. Owners are wonderful and remembered us after only a few visits which was a lovely experience! Highly recommended.
Handy place to grab a drink or snack, pre or post walk. I've tried the cakes, scones and toasties, all very good, with that home made feel.
We love this cafe. A lovely place to eat before the pandemic, and a lovely take-away treat during the pandemic. Staff are always friendly (even when they are so busy), often remember people's drink of choice, and definitely go the extra mile in customer service. Would highly recommend, and am ver
Brilliant hot chocolate, lovely service, great crepes! Fantastic selection of scones (5 varieties), traybakes and proper toasted sandwiches. Would recommend!
Lovely friendly cafe, with the best scones! Great both for a sit down lunch (in normal times) and nipping in to pick up a coffee and scone while walking the dog. We often time our walks so The Lodge is our half way point for lunch and a break.
Stopped in here today during a nice walk in the sun with my wife. The coffees were really nice and the lady serving was lovely. They also had lots of nice treats and lunch food. Well worth a pit stop
A great little place to rest from your walk near Blackford Hill. Freshly baked cakes, and take out coffee/tea is what you'll find here.
