Went on Sunday hoping for a chance to sip some cider in the sun...and lucky for us we managed to do just that. As we were there anyway it would have been rude not to sample the dinner menu. Had the scallops with tattie scones and black pudding to start...but was a bit sad the black pudding was crumbled and not in all it's normal glory. Tasty none the less. Then I had pumpkin lasagne (naughty carbs strike again) which was nice and crispy on the top with a good tomato sauce. He had mussels and duck...also good. The service let the place down, nor much attention given to food service, and a bit of confusion at the bar. Not cheap either but would come again.
A nice place we found accidentally. The food was very good, well presented. Staff friendly, dogs welcome.
I ate here years ago but had friendly service and very good food.
Stayed at the Murrayfield Hotel and ate a few meals at The Bothy. We found it was cozy (lovely fireplace) and the service was always speedy and quite friendly. The food was consistently tasty, and the Sunday Roast was a standout and SO delicious. Definitely recommend!
Lovely food and great ambiance. Exceptional customer Service. The Head Chef, Abby, took the time to come and talk to us to make sure he got our order right. Would definitely visit again if we ever go back in Edinburgh..😊
Went for a Sunday Roast with our dog, amazing experience! The food was delicious and the restaurant really stylish and spacious. Will visit again
The staff were down some members but could not be more helpful. The bothy burger came out within 15 minutes and we ate it quicker! It's a shame this was just a passing visit as I would love to have stayed for some drinks and to soak up a little more atmosphere! Staff couldn't have been more helpful and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of the delicious food 😋
The staff were really friendly, and the beer was as fresh as water straight from the rock
Really nice food and atmosphere for a meal out with the family.
We enjoyed this restaurant so much we made 2 visits!
I would have loved to have given a 5 star rating, but, unfortunately the service was a bit slow. We were in a party of 7, on a Sunday evening at 6:30. Some of the menu was unavailable (I can understand this due to the current situation). When our food did arrive it was absolutely excellent, and all 7 of us were of the same opinion. Prices were very reasonable too. If the service had been a bit faster, I would have definitely given a 5 Star rating. The Bothy has a good reputation which, under normal conditions, I would not dispute. I would recommend, as I feel that normally, the service would be faster. We all had a very enjoyable time.
Nice, busy vibrant pub/ bistro situated within walking distance to Murrayfield stadium.
Friendly service but not many staff as it was busy. Good selection and proper glasses, nice atmosphere and choices of difference layouts. Has both indoor and outdoor.
