I've been a here few times. I remember it before it became a Waldorf Astoria! The decor is a lot nicer and it has very classical modern twist to the theme. I love the 1950s portraits on the wall with spotlight just on top of the portrait which emphasises the picture.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Sam the Bar Manager was by himself and was slightly busy but handled the situation like professional, well done!!

I'm lucky enough to be a diamond member as hilton honors, due to my travelling around a lot. The hiltons usually give me couple vouchers for free drinks at the bar which is nice.

I had a lot free time before catching a flight back to London, so I thought I'd have a working lunch.

I opted for the rainbow trout with pine nuts and capers and a side of crushed potatoes! It was beautiful dish, presented well, tasted great. It's not for people who don't like bones! They staff checked up on how I was getting on and been very attentive throughout.

Overall great place for meetings or social gathering. I would highly recommend this place. Average price per person is £25-£30.
Huge range of whisky as well if you are a whisky fan!

A lovely spot in just the right place, where you can enjoy all kinds of drinks: a wide selection of whisky and rum, great original cocktails, classics and also own mixes. Highly recommend, whether for couples, solo, or with a group of friends - I had an amazing time, the staff is also really nice and chatty, so you know they care about your comfort.

Charles, Ellis, and Ellie will absolutely take care of you here. Expert cocktails crafted in the most artful way possible. This isn’t your normal 5 star hotel bar or even your normal high end cocktail lounge, it’s something above that. Whether you’re staying at the hotel or simply passing through you will be welcomed in the most professional way and will absolutely have a fantastic time.

Recently been refurbished, this is one classy bar that you want to be seen in. The decor is plush, with gorgeous comfortable seating, dim lighting and excellent cocktails. This is one perfect spot for romance - its sexy and ideal for making an impression. Obviously you dont have to go on a date! Large booths and cube seating to host large groups or just mates that fancy a wee night out.

This bar has had a makeover recently so we were curious to see what it looked like - we had never been in this bar before. Designers have gone for very dark low level lighting. One clever thing was attaching mini lights to the menus. As you can imagine, within a 5 star hotel, its not cheap. My wife had a very nice cocktail (Osaka) at £15 and I had a pint of 'Bitter & Twisted' for £7. Then add a 12.5% discretionary service charge.

Great space & superb cocktails. Highly recommend the Edinburgh cocktail, prepared by expertly by the excellent Charles. Solid selection of scotch, which they were happy to help a novice like myself navigate.

Great bar with an impressive array of spirits! Guys behind the bar were really knowledgeable which was no mean feat considering the incredible range of drinks and cocktails they were serving. Jonathan and Thomas were such great hosts and we strongly recommend their service.

What a gem. Upon looking at the couple bartenders, i judged them to be too young to know anything about whiskey. I could not have been more wrong. They were fantastic on their knowledge and explanations about a variety of whiskey.

Big shout out and an even bigger thank you to Jonathan, Thomas and Sophie at the Caley bar inside the Waldorff Astoria in Edinburgh. They saved our disappointing night on the town with great drinks, service and conversation. Thank you all and we look forward to seeing you again!

Sophisticated and comfortable bar space, served attentively by a team of waiting staff which will offer you practically any drink you can name - but with the inflated price tag that the luxury commands. Go here occasionally to treat yourself, but don't make it your regular unless you're the kind of person that never needs to read the bill at the end of the night...!

Edinburgh's finest hotel bar. Superb staff. Comfortable and quiet environment. Pity about the awful muzak, please rethink this, it's awful and inappropriate for this classy 5 star piece of heaven.

Great place for a quiet drink, service is great and are always accommodating, price is a little higher than you'd get in other venues, but that is made up for in the service given.

Nice wee bar, food was pretty good but the overall cost for 2 burgers and 2 pints was a bit steep! Staff were helpful and friendly
