Service was excellent very polite and happy to help. We ordered for starter dough balls and garlic bread with cheese and for mains pizza leggera padana and polo pesto all food was tasty and fresh but for me too small portion of polo pesto( I thought to order another one) could be more generous. 4.0 for taste and atmosphere.
Great food and great service in the really nice setting of the shore. The only thing I can complain about is that the prices are a bit expensive.

We found this place by accident and we're so glad we did! We had the Aranchini and the Calabrese Pizza. Definitely a mist try! Service was fantastic, and they were pretty swift considering how busy it was! Definite win here!
Not had pizza in ages. So was very pleased with this. It is nice and thin. Claire who works there very pleasant and works very hard waiting on all the customers and the bar what looked like single handedly. Thank you to her. Pizza Express give her a raise!
I've been to this particular pizza express numerous times - you need to book in advance as it's always a popular choice. The food is delicious, the service has been quick and they were also very happy to store and bring out a custom birthday cake. The orange Wednesdays is also great - gutted that I'm not the Orange customer but still great when your friend is :D - family friendly too.
This is my fav Pizza Express as it's always just that little bit quieter than the others so you get great personal service. Lovely views of the the Shore. Ideally situated too to walk off your lunch by walking past "Sandy" sitting on his bench across the bridge and down to the Royal Yacht to look out on the Forth and "The Man" perched at the end of the the disused pier looking out towards the far horizon. - my perfect day!
If in doubt go to Pizza Express 😁. You. Know what you are getting and for an impromptu group dinner you are likely to get a table.
You know where you stand with Pizza Express, the quality is always consistent and if you grab a voucher code you can bag reasonably priced tasty pizzas. Although once you add wine into the mix the bill can soon start to get out of control (depending how many bottles you order).
The staff are always so friendly and the styling of the restaurant is very colourful, it's an easy reliable option and one we keep returning to.
The calabrese is highly recommended for chilli fiends like us!
I really enjoy Pizza Express. You can get good quality food, for affordable prices and don't have to feel like you have to eat at a chippy to save money. Even when using one of their numerous offers (and I do!) they still treat you with respect.
I love their under 500 calorie pizza options! The Legara. I really do love to eat pizza and this takes a lot of the guilt away.
Plus, who can hate a place that gives you a free bottle of prosecco on your birthday?!
Lovely location looking over the river, surrounded by historic buildings, restaurant not huge but bright and airy, the starter was a bit expensive for what we had but was made up by the pizza which was delicious, so budget 15 pounds per head approx plus drinks.
Came here for family nite out! Food and service were amazing! The waitress was so friendly! Was keen and catered to my allergy! Can't wait for it to be open again so can see new restaurant

As Pizza Express branches go, this one follows the template pretty closely: a large, open area filled with tables and chairs, an open kitchen at the back, busy staff weaving between tables and dispensing food as ordered. The décor is professional and clean, and the view over the Shore in Leith is nice, if a little difficult to see from most tables. If you like Pizza Express, you will like this branch. If not, there is nothing here to change your mind. Those looking for a more traditional Italian experience should instead visit Giluliano's on Commercial Street just over the bridge.
Also, at the time of writing this, Google Maps has the location of the restaurant in the wrong place. It is not in Ocean Terminal (though a branch of Pizza Express is there), it's on the Shore.

Always enjoy our meals here, but disappointing to order Padana pizzas and receive Campanas instead! But they were replaced without demur and we had no complaints ultimately.
