A lovely independent cafe! Yummy, freshly prepared, good quality food. Great value, with friendly and professional service. Dine Thyme is also in a great spot - just a few minutes’ walk from Waverley station, set back from the main road in an almost traffic-free area. I enjoyed my breakfast outside and would definitely go back on my next trip to Edinburgh.
First time here but will definitely be back! Clearly high quality ingredients, freshly cooked, all nicely wrapped up to take away (a small amount of indoor/outdoor seating available too) and incredible value for money. If you get The Works, it really does mean The Works! Brilliant service and the whole place is sparkling clean with a really comforting vibe. Highly recommended, such a hidden gem!
Actually the loveliest place! Got a morning roll, the works breakfast box and two coffees and they were perfect! Everything was lovely and fresh, cooked perfectly and more than worth the money. Awesome food, great customer service, genuinely a great place! Thank you!
Dropped in to Dine Thyme for a quick mocha but ended up talking to the owner for ages. He’s so knowledgeable about Edinburgh and best places to eat. Cafe is lovely with beautiful hanging baskets outside that are very well taken care of. Sat outside at a street table and noticed how busy it was with locals and deliveries so it’s very popular! Would definitely recommend and looking forward to dropping in again for a sandwich.
Im generally rather selective over the reviews i bother giving, but after popping by Dine Thyme, I had to. It would be 5 stars for the service alone, but add to that the food...well I couldn't of been happier.
Its places like this that really show what large chain establishments are missing. Next time I'm in town I'll definitely be stopping by.

I visited this place on my trip to Edinburgh recently, a great independent cafe. The service was gamazing I Had a breakfast roll and a coffee while sitting outside enjoying the weather while we have it. The flowers outside gives it a unique charm
Good coffee,great bacon and sausage roll,I'm not one to eat breakfast,but this was very good ,I also learned something.... Dreich ...been here in Scotland over a year and not heard till now ... every day is a learning day :)
The other day I was passing Dine thyme and I’ve not been that way for a while and normally order from them online for delivery so decided to grab a bite. This is a great little deli, and it always hits the spot!
I had a Ruben style roll and it was absolutely amazing - freshly made with fresh ingredients. Also the coffee was also very good; great blend they use. All in all, the deli is an absolute gem, the service is fast and the owner is always cheerful and polite. You simply must check it out and support local whilst Leith is still being worked on.

I had the pleasure of visiting Dine Thyme for the first time passing in Leith recently with a business associate. The staff are very friendly. The sandwiches were fresh and hot the spot, and the owner makes a great coffee. Exactly what we needed to pick us up during a busy day. All in all a great experience and I would certainly recommend Dine Thyme to anyone in the Leith area!

Very affordable made-on-the-spot sandwiches and wraps. Don't expect anything fancy or healthy in terms of bread type for example. Very nice owner.
