This cozy joint was closest to home, so would pop by every time I felt like not missing breakfast because of my sleep habits. I've only ever tried their custom chicken and mayo sandwich (with lettuce and cucumbers), but it tasted so good I never really made an effort to try anything else. I remember being downtrodden the one time I was craving a sandwich and they were closed :(
Barring that, their joint - although too small for the queues they get sometimes - is quite cozy and has ample seating space in case you feel like dining-in.
I have had my eye on Hank's for while, especially after all the amazing things I've heard about it. However, I only finally managed to go a couple of weeks ago on a rare Friday off work.
They have sandwich options already made up, but I think it's possible to also request something of your own. The sandwich options they have are pretty tasty so I'm not sure people prefer not to opt for their own creation.
They have lots of different fillings, on lots of different breads, but I chose a chicken, bacon and cream cheese panini. After selecting your sandwich you pick from a variety of salads, luckily you can choose 2, as they all look delightful. The broccoli and bacon salad was delicious - I could have eaten a whole box of just that salad! However, I thoroughly enjoyed my whole lunch, the hardest part was choosing from the great selection.
Hank's definitely needs to be open at the weekend so I can try more of their tasty goodness!
Absolute gem of a place just a few minutes from the city centre. Fabulous selection of salads and paninis with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options- and more than willing to make up things on request if there is nothing suitable. From haggis to frittatas to quinoa salads, there is something for everyone. VERY reasonably priced.
We had a delightful experience at Hank's Sandwich bar. It's a very cute and cosy place. Hank and staff are friendly and welcoming. They have good vegetarian options. We had breakfast at Hank's and we tried the veggie panini and it was YUM. Price is very reasonable. Definitely recommend to others.
I was in queue at five guys and it was taking too long, so I decided to check out a local place instead. This was at the top of google maps, and I am so glad I went here. The sandwich is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had, the service is friendly. I think the potato salad could do with some improvements, like onions or pickles, but I loved it nonetheless.
Absolutely love their breakfast rolls! And salads are good too! But pricey £2.50 for a morning roll but i get the location makes the price... apart of this 100% recommended

Lovely little place! Perfect place for a morning pick me up breakfast. We had sausage baps and they were yummy and cheap! Such lovely staff, wish we could have gone back for the delicious looking biscoff cinnamon buns!
Best sandwiches ever !I am from Greece and if gyros is number surely the haggis, Fried egg, tatties scone is the second best.

Recommended shop to have a panini to go or a coffee. The owner is so friendly and shop is really clean. No seating place though.
