Fantastic!. Always happy with the service, good, homemade food delicious, basic settings but the food and atmosphere warm and homely!!
Simple food, good quality. I've been dining here for a long time and if you want Indian food at cheap prices, then look no further. Seating is outdoors, but no-one seems to mind that as the curry warms you up!
Although I personally don't like Indian food, I found that I loved this place! It's cheap, quick and tasty food. Great friendly service too!
Filling, fantastic, and cheap.
The new place is simple, bright, and relaxed. It lacks some of the undoubted charm of the old place, for sure, but they could have really screwed things up with their move indoors and they’ve not fallen in to any of the obvious traps, so well done.

I used to eat here after Friday prayers and sometimes just for lunch! The food hasn't changed consistent in their taste! Great for me when I was a student because you'd get so much for your money!!!
Went there today and they've changed it being inside now which is great! They have another restaurant just close by which is a full buffet!
I got curry an rice with samosa an drink for 7 quid which not bad! Was stuffed!

The Mosque Kitchen is a really good spot for a quick and tasty lunch. The canteen style of seating and eating works really well for people in a hurry and the simple pricing structure means you know exactly what you are going to get. The food is good value for money as it tastes good and the cost is super friendly to those who want a filling meal on a tight budget. I would not say this is the best curry I have ever tasted but I have found it to be consistently decent in my experience .

Great neat little place that just warms your heart. The service is simple quick and easy. Eat, chat away place. Freshly made home cooking, tons of veg dishes. Very busy at times.

Tried both the chicken and lamb and both were amazing , great portion size and such an authentic desi taste. You definitely get more than you paid for, and such fast service under 10 mins wait.

The Original Mosque Kitchen is a pretty good place for some lunch in Edinburgh! #Halal
The portions here are great and the prices are less than 10 GBP, making it an affordable option for a satisfying meal. We tried the rice with chicken korma, which was pretty good, and the Monday special of rice with chicken dopiaza, which was also quite enjoyable. Another dish we tried was the rice with lamb bhuna, which was decent.
My favorite thing that we had was the naan with chicken shish kabob. While the naan itself wasn't great and tasted like dough, the kabob was absolutely fantastic and stood out as the best item we tried.
Overall, The Original Mosque Kitchen is a great spot for affordable, delicious Indian kinda style cuisine.
Please note that there are two "Mosque Kitchens", so it can be confusing to find the right one. And I'm not sure how the other one tastes like.

Really sweet staffs and this is where you could taste the real pizzas. We went with 4 people and the bill was 35, reasonable price with decent dishes! The place is also super convenient for students from Edinburgh university. One of my friend come from Milan and he also appraised the quality. I love the spicy olive oil with garlic inside it. Will definitely comeback again.
One of the best food I have had in UK with very moderate prices. All in the photos was 8 pounds. They were mouthwateringly delicious and service was also very nice. The place is also very quiet and relaxing. Just loved it! Thank you Edinburgh mosque!

Very friendly staff at the small humble kitchen. Food was good with large portions. Will definitely visit again if in the area.
Piping hot and cheap plates of curry in classic fast food curry style e.g. bhuna and tikka masala. Don’t think some reviewers know what home style curries actually are, but hey, that’s probably why this place is so popular. They do the British style of curry well, they have variety, and you can’t argue with the price. But naan wasn’t that good, it’s much better in the proper restaurant.

They make a set number of curries each day which you can choose from, we ordered the chicken korma and methi chicken and both tasted amazing! As if that wasn't enough, the prices were extremely cheap for the quality, and the portion sizes are huge! The service was brilliant and friendly, and the atmosphere lovely. There are also loads of vegetarian options. Definitely recommended if you like Asian food and are anywhere nearby!
