Archipelago Bakery - Edinburgh - Photo album

This could possibly be the best food I had in Edinburgh. The scone was perfectly salty and crunchy, yet soft in the middle; a perfect vehicle for some Scottish jam. The ginger slice was absolutely to die for! But the clear winner is the vegan lemon olive oil shortbread. I will be talking about it fo
The white sourdough round from Archipelago Bakery is quite simply the best bread I have ever eaten! Crunchy perfection on the outside and delicious, chewy goodness on the inside. Whatever it is that takes bread from great to amazing, Archipelago has figured it out! BTW, we also loved their vegan sam
I stopped here for tea and cake and the place didn't disappoint! It was pretty small so it's good for those who want a quiet place to relax. They also had WiFi available. They had a range of cakes, including vegan options, but I didn't see many traditional flavours which I was after. I opted for a y
Lovely little place, artisan baked goods and delicious lunch ideas. Great for vegetarians and vegan, and coffee is wonderful too. Wifi and pleasant atmosphere. Loved it. 4 stars from me, because the hot chocolate was disappointing. Not very chocolaty… tasted like plain foamed milk, and I do wish the
Tried today their plum cake and was just perfect for this autumn weather, delicious with a great touch of fruit mixed in the cake. Very unique recipe. Can't miss if you're in Edinburgh.
Nice little bakery with a good range of cakes and bread on offer, alongside coffee and a few light lunch options. Most (if not all) options were vegan friendly and the staff were very nice.
Had a lovely lunch of soup, bread, tea and a delicious cake. The owner was also very accommodating and friendly.
Brilliant bakery. Very friendly staff and according to my partner, they have the worlds best brownie! I can say that to the black forest brownie as well. Highly highly recommend!
Amazing selection of daily made pastries. Gluten free for those that need it. Friendly family atmosphere. No laptops. The cinnamon buns were amazing. Definitely a place to stop.
Lovely neighborhood bakery. Friendly and helpful staff. The lentil "sausage" roll was excellent, as was the banana bread. Croissant and scone were OK.
We had a delicious lentil/sage soup of the day, a warming bowl of curry and an espresso. Great food, amazing bread and the staff was friendly and genuine. We would love to go back there.
Love this place. I have never had a nicer German Rye Bread. The spanakopita is my favourite and my daughter loves the cakes.
Very tasty take away or sit in sandwiches, breads, cakes and more. Bit on the pricey side but worth it!
The bread here is to die for. Carrot & sunflower loaf available on Saturdays is incredible and a lovely way to get some sneaky veg into kids (also amazing with honey!). Proper, delicious yeast-based loaves with fabulous crust and yummy flavour, I'd highly recommend this place for its loaves, which
The soda bread at Archipelago was the most fantastic bread I’ve ever had. It’s crust is bumpy and crunchy and once sliced reveals a dense and luscious interior. Outstanding with a cheese and charcuterie board. Lovely, helpful young woman at the counter. Highly recommend.
This may be a little biased as I used to work there but cannot recommend this place enough. Everything has so much care and thought put into it by Caroline and the other staff. It is all organic and a more healthy option than anywhere else. You do pay more however I do believe this is because you’re
We just found this lovely place by chance. The decoration was so warm and the food so delicious. Vegan options also. Just perfect. The people attending were very helpful walking us through the numerous options. 100% recommendation
