Great food! We loved our steaks and the sides. The service was a little slow though. The waitress offered us some bread whilst we waited for our meal, but the bread never came🤔 and we waited quite a while to pay. I understand that it was a busy night, but perhaps having more staff might help.

Passed by this place so many times. Got the chance to try it out. Went for a steak burger with straw fries. The burger was amazing and nicely done. Really enjoyed it. Look forward to visiting again in the near future

The char on the porterhouse was great! This is steak done right on the pan, better than sous vide. The sauces were also memorable. Our favourites were the blue cheese and the bone marrow sauce. The chimichurri helped cut away the monotony of beef, fries and the savoury sauces. It provided the tangy, spicy flavours necessary to finish the 800g steak. The best deal was that on Tuesdays, the porterhouse was going for £50 with 2 fries and 3 sauces, instead of the usual £80. The happy hour earl grey martini was also refreshing and a great pairing to cleanse the palette after the meal!

I couldn't find anything to fault. The food was nice, well served and tasty. We really liked the mac and cheese side! The staff are professional and efficient. The atmosphere is nice and the music adds a good bar like vibe. The seating is comfortable and the booths give you extra privacy. Given it is aiming to be high-end steakhouse, the quality matches the prices with a fillet steak around £36 and sides around £4.5. They try to stand out from the competition with their aged meat cooked over charcoal. Overall, it is a great steakhouse and offer a memorable experience.

Nice place and very excellent service, good attention to the customer. So almost perfect apart a couple of things: 1- we asked for a medium rear beef, arrived more cooked. 2- very long waiting time, not so adapt for impatiently children. But in the end, the manager is very professional, and he knows how to balance the possible nornal missing of a restaurant that could happen during the service. Thank you!

Superb meal, it is a little pricy for drinks but totally worth every penny as you can see in the images. Very cosy setting, love the lighting and the buzzing atmosphere. The staff are very nice and accommodating. The food shows the use of quality ingredients all round. The mussels are top notch and a decent size. Would have liked to have seen more than three tempura prawns, but they were cooked with love and came with a lovely chilli jam. The monkfish satay was amazing, beautifully presented, beautifully cooked. Very nice! The sourdough steak sandwich with bone marrow & burnt onions gravy was so rich and flavourful. Amazing! The mac & cheese was great. The tripe cooked chips are perfect. The rump with surf and turf half bbq’d lobster was my favourite meal. Absolutely amazing taste! The fresh slaw is very nice and crunchy. Love the straw fries too. Been a few times now, can’t wait to return and try something else on the menu.

Had a great steak here. It's not cheap but it's really good! Particularly recommend the Fennel, caper and rocket side. The salted caramel chocolate dessert was also interesting and tasty. The service was attentive and friendly and the decor nicely balancing modern with the traditional building. Will almost certainly return!

People are excellent, but if you don't arrive early or make a reservation they don't have a problem turning you away. However this makes for better attention to those there. Cocktails were excellently prepared. Our favorite was the edelweiss gimlet. Starters were also excellent, we had the fried shrimp and the oysters in half shell. Oysters were fresh and absolutely delicious. The best I've had. We also had the truffle Caeser salad and it was also absolutely delicious. Perfect balance of flavors, crisp romaine just beautiful. The unfortunate part that pains me to write is the meat was sadly not up to par. It was neither well prepared, seasoned nor believably aged or cut as advertised. It was as if they'd mixed up the eye of round for ribeye. Grisly, tough and generally a bit over cooked. The sirloin wasn't much better a generous amount of fat and grisel to trim away. Again this was very unfortunate as everything else, especially the people were absolutely 5 star.

We had a very nice meal here for date night. Food was delicious, wait staff were just the right amount of attentive and cocktails were interesting and tasty. Quite possibly the best onion rings I've ever had. Not sure what more we could have asked for. Looking forward to coming back again soon!

Great cocktails, and possibly one of the best steaks I've ever had cooked to perfection. Staff were busy but very nice and friendly, and lovely ambience. Music sometimes a bit loud if you're under the speakers and its on the pricy side

Absolutely amazing. Our first meal coming into Edinburgh from SF. Set the bar high for our trip. Service, environment, and especially the food were all incredible. Wonderful waitstaff. Made to feel so comfortable. Completely satisfied.
