Love the bread at the Wee Boulangerie. Was one of the best I found during my stay in Edinburgh. Good dense loaves to rival the bread in Paris. And I had some of their sweet baking and it was just wonderful.
Lovely tiny place! So happy that I finally found a boulangerie where I can get real fresh and tasty bread! Nice that you can stop for a wee treat as well, coffee was very good too
This place is amazing! The bread is so good, and always fresh. I love the cheesy bites!!! I could eat a whole baguette from here no problem. It's well worth a visit!!!
A wee treat. What a lovely little shop. A beautiful selection of breads and savouries and all freshly made too. Along with the great staff, I don't think it would be possible to leave without a bag of goodies and a smile on your face !!
Amazing breads. The Wee Boulangerie is a little Paris in the midst of Edinburgh's Suthside. The breads are absolutely delicious (I particularly like the campagne "boule") and stay fresh for a good 2-3 days - although to be fair, we rarely manage to keep them that long! Their almond croissant is also pretty yummy and it's now become a staple treat around our office...
Definitely worth a try - and take a second to look at the funny poster on their window!
I’ll certainly be back on many occasions to try further fillings of the fabulous fougasse. I look forward to that with considerable relish
I went there for two consecutive mornings. The almond croissant is among the best I’ve ever had. The croissant is good as well! Love the buttery taste.
I love the bread in this little place. I have been trying different ones and all of them are pretty good. The cakes and pastries are delicious!
Almost exactly like a nice French bakery, but in Scotland. They've even got that sweet briochey smell. Definitely the place for your southside pastry needs.
A very small but lovely bakery that does great coffee. Stopped in on our way to town and the staff were very friendly and the smell of fresh bread was very enticing.
loved the sourdough baguette that went perfectly well with my white wine mussels!
An amazing place to get sourdough - all of their breads are good, but they do have a lot of sourdough breads and it’s a specialty of theirs. Friendly staff that offers good recommendations. Can’t wait to come back!
A traditional French bakery in Edinburgh. The bread is the best in the city by quite a long way, if you like it straight from the oven, there are clear times posted for baking. Not a vast range and nothing chi-chi, hipster or fancy. This is straight forward excellence with no cant. Their chocolate buns, almond croissants and cheesy bites are not half bad either.
Best baguettes I know. Beware you must order ahead if you want more than three!
Outstanding bread, every time. So good indeed that we make the trip here even though we live other side of The Meadows. Also great that there are different varieties of bread over the course of the day.
Tasty traditional Roscon de Reyes which has made my day. Lovely sourdough baguettes, highly recommended too!
