This is definitely my favorite bagel place! Even though it’s always hard to find seats, I’d still go to it and get my bagels to go. Also, the people who work there are extremely nice.

If you want a cheap and satisfying lunch in the Old Town, look no further than Elephants and Bagels. Granted, they only have bagels on the menu, but they have such a huge variety and a wide range of varieties that there is – quite literally – something for everyone.

Calling all bagel lovers :oD You must come here if you enjoy a good tasty bagel! I came here to study for a bit last week. Boring me, i only ordered a cup of tea but the smell of warm bagels was just too good.

I love how they have a lot of variety, from sweet to savoury. The pricing is also decent! What i love most is the decoration! The name elephants and bagels is perfect since they have tons of drawings of elephants ? This cafe is a very homely cafe, one can come and just chill comfortably. There were people studying, friends just chatting and also mummies with their children. Perfect for everybody!

This is one of my favourite sandwich shops to go to, it is right out the back of George Square, so perfect for lunch breaks at uni. The choice of fillings and bagels is huge, and can be difficult to choose from. The staff here are so friendly and even offer more choices than that on the menu. Its perfect for a take out meal, or to sit in. I prefer to sit in because the shop is decorated so nicely- with customer drawings of elephants and bagels filling the walls of the small room, it can be quite funny looking at the pictures, from drawings by kids to some artistic pieces. It's very reasonably priced for the bagel, which is toasted and very filling.

This was the cafe I most visited during the 16 months I lived in Edinburgh. I absolutely adore the atmosphere, particularly the single desks by the windows. The bagels are delicious - I have three top ones: the "everything" bagel with butter, the spinach bagel with salmon and scrambled eggs, or the salmon deluxe in poppies seeds bagel. I would usually have them with a filter coffee and, eventually, when I felt like eating some sugar, I would eat a yogurt bar (super recommended!). Love this place!

Great place to go to if you're a tourist or a local for lunch or breakfast. There is a huge list of suggested bagel fillings or create your own style! The tomato and basil soup was delicious and we even went for a second bowl! The decor is what really gives this place a unique character and we spent a long time looking at all of the wonderful pictures on the walls. We were only visiting for a week but ended up coming here twice and wish we'd discovered it sooner.

Great Cappuccino and Hot Chocolate with side order of cake. Love the Elephant theme too. Very friendly and cheery staff. Will definately return, next time I am in the city. Very handy for the Festival Theatre.

What a lovely experience! Wonderful gluten free bagels, nice coffee and the staff was absolutely lovely. This was somewhere my daughter really wanted to go and we had a great time. Very low key and cosy.

A lovely warm and friendly elephant themed bagel place. A decent amount of seating (we managed to beat the lunch rush though, the queue got quite big!) Their selection is wide, and delicious! Their menu is very interesting and has something for everyone. Was a perfect place to come for lunch.

Although the cafes not huge there are quite a few seats and it's size just makes it cosier. I love going here because the food is great and it's lovely place to have a chat. There are seats for people to work and study as well.

Pick your bagel and ingredients! Gluten free bagels available. Great place, serve a few yummy dairy free/gluten free sweets too. Service was fantastic after buying a coffee around the corner from a Brew Lab who were a zero in every aspect. If you like to be served by a staff who are polite, and quality coffee and food then this is the place in this area

Great choices of bagels, including for gluten free and allergies. This place gets really, really busy full of locals and tourists alike so try to avoid during peak times. They have drawings contributed from customers all over the walls and a nice atmosphere.

Found this lovely little cafe after looking at the Elephant House fb page. Tucked away it's well worth searching out. Bagels are delicious and staff warm and friendly.

If you've always wanted to eat a bagel while looking at elephant-inspired art, this is the place for you. Great food, made to order, and a comfy environment. It's a fine spot to work in when it's not busy, but can get loud if there's a large group coming through.

I love a place that can do everything, but there’s nothing quite like a place like Elephant & Bagels which does one thing to perfection. Want a bagel in Edinburgh? Honestly, look no further. I recommend the smoked salmon but they all looked scrumptious.

Great convenient place to grab breakfast or lunch. Big selection of bagels and fillings - including gluten free, vegetarian and vegan. They serve hot drinks too. The staff are nice, the outdoor seating was great as it was a sunny day. Recommended!

Perfect coffee shop with a side of bagels. Large selection of bagel flavours, i love the cheese and jalapeño one! Staff are great and happy to chat when the line isn't out the door during the lunch time rush. Perfect for families, couples, meeting friends or even someone looking to read their book with a good snack.
