A small restaurant with alot of tasty dishes. They have a variety of choices which made eating there even better. The food was delicious and the price was right.

Not sure why this place has such a low rating. I found the food to be quite good. I had the bulgogi bokum bap and the dak bulgogi with a side of kimchi. Both dishes were well spiced and cooked, although a bit sweeter than is traditional. The kimchi is made fresh in house and I usually prefer a kimchi that has aged a bit more. I lived in Seoul for a few months and really loved the atmosphere they had going in the shop.

Would definitely come back.

Buccleuch Street has developed into the place to go for Korean food, with three exponents (Kim's, Cafe Andamiro and Sodaeng) all located on the street. Kim's still wins for character and wow factor, but Sodaeng is doing good work. It seems a busy wee place, so it's definitely one to add to your list for a visit.

To conclude, we said: "I was very impressed with Sodaeng. Both dishes I tried were extremely tasty. I’d be happy to visit again and will bring a group next time as there were some intriguing looking sharing dishes. I’d be happy to recommend that you give the place a visit."

I've had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant twice. Once with a friend and once with my father, and both times the food, service and general atmosphere was fantastic! The food is delicious but slightly altered from the traditional and slightly westernised (obviously to accommodate for the majority) but I'd still strongly recommend it.

If you'd like a new experience (or are an avid Korean food aficionado) it is required dining whilst you are in Edinburgh!

I ordered food through Uber today and didn't arrive. (Delivery problem) it just dissapeared ! And I re-ordered it with another app. I've been informed by Uber that I can't get a refund from first order (its really bad experience ) but thank you for restaurant owner's kind response. From now on, I will never use Uber eat in UK anymore. cause i never get this problem in other countries. feel super badddd but tbh the food was good :)

Quaint little Korean restaurant on Buccleuch Street. Make a reservation in advance as there aren't that many tables. Had quite a variety of dishes to choose from. Ordered the Oh Sam Bulgogi (stir fried squid and pork in spicy sauce) which came with rice. Good choice if you're looking for a mix of seafood and meat. The portion was good. However, my friends who ordered the broth found the serving to be a bit small. Good place for a nice dinner with friends. Looking forward to coming again :D

Love this korean restaurant. They have great hotpot that can be shared with two people and varieties of meals and side dishes. The food also is tasty although it's a bit expensive compared to other Korean restaurants around that area. But it's a nice place to experience true Korean dishes.

I went to this lovely restaurant yesterday for lunch as it was raining heavily. It is a lovely place with very nice walls, and bowls. I ordered Deep Fried Chicken Balls, and the Squid Tentacles for the starter. The Squid was excellent and batter was light and fluffy. Will definitely visit again.

I've been picking up a lot of bibimbap from here during quarantine. It's delicious, fresh and fairly priced. The service is always so warm and welcoming. I love it!

Ordered Dak Galbi and Seo Gom Tang on Ubereats and they had packaged it very well to prevent any spillage. Coming from experience, I was a bit worried that the taste would be a bit mild but Sodaeng really delivered! The food was so good!! I did hope that their portions would be slightly larger but I also do understand that Asian cuisine and products are somewhat of a luxury here.

Accidentally found this small Korean restaurant. The food is great. The serving is very generous. We ordered beef bulgogi and spicy seafood noodle soup, the seafoods inside the noodle are abundant. The staffs are also friendly. Recommend!

OMG the most memorable food I have ever tasted. Will not go anywhere else after finding this hidden gem. We had sticky chicken with a slightly sweet tone. Cannot remember the name...Sorry! Wow!!! Sad I live in Glasgow. 20/10 for taste! Korean food at its best. Contender for top 3 in the World!!!!
