Stumbled across Papillon our on way to Cafe Tartine (which I now realise is the same great team!) and decided to give it a go. It was a great experience from start to finish. The staff was lovely and knowledgeable. The food was presented very nicely and tasted amazing too. Definitely recommend. And definitely will be back. 😊

Tried the new tapas menue, and really loved the poutine. Would be great if they offered a vegetarian version without the bacon! Cocktails were great.

Nice place. Attentive staff and great selection of drinks. Located in a nice area of Leith with lots of other places to drink and dine in the area. Nice outside area with a mini canal.

Stylishly set up. Friendly enough staff and the food on the next table looked OK. I liked the sofas and the jazz band night. Cocktails and other drinks were reasonably priced for a wine bar. Let down by the fact that it could have been a tad warmer inside. The map on the wall where you pin where you are from is a great idea!

Good place, quite pricey but good. Very friendly staff, delicious food. There is outdoors sitting area available that unfortunately gets shared with next door pub so you may end up being a reason for argument.

Lovely little place to eat with friendly staff and a cosy environment. The prices where also very good with a burger and fries coming in @ £12 and an 8ounce flat iron steak £15. You can also eat outside with a nice water feature view.

Very enjoyable night at the quiz with quick service for both drinks and food. I had the burger off the menu which was both tasty and filling. The midweek 20% off ring which applies to both food and drink makes it even better

Food was excellent. so my table ordered the mac cheese. Philly cheese steak and poutine all was good except i would not order the poutine again think their trying to be to fancy with it. Staff friendly and made us feel really welcome. Would highly recommend.

Spectacular venue. A+ service. Masterfully made, locally sourced gastro pub food. Cocktails are out of this world made by amazing cocktail bartenders. If you are looking for a night of cocktails and friendly banter with the staff this is the place to be.

First visit to Papillon, Leith, and certainly not the last. This is a new restaurant and bar, which opened a few days ago. We were greeted warmly by the staff, and our personal waiter, Rad, was very good indeed - attentive but not intrusive in any way. We both decided on different meals for a late Sunday lunch: a medley of starters (including haloumi sticks, whitebait and lamb koftas) and Moroccan lamb steak. Both meals were simply delicious! Accompanying the meals was a bottle of white Trebbiano wine. Regrettably, we had no room for any of the wonderfully-sounding desserts. Our experience was enhanced by the comfortable seating, warm lighting and soft music, so whether you're here to eat or drink, this caters for all. Best of luck to this newcomer to the restaurant scene, which will no doubt soon be firmly established as a 'must visit' in Edinburgh.

Nice place, very relaxed, good food and helpful staff. The sort off environment that you nip in for lunch and leave 6 hours later. Only issue is the type face on the menu is very SMALL!!

Had a wonderful time at papillion yesterday, went to try the new American soul food menu and it did not dissapoint, our waiter with the flowing red locks was a delight, full of charm and charisma, nothing was too much hassle, he patiently talked us through the menu, we ended up having the sharing platter for 4, every dish/side on the platter was delicious, you have to try this, the cocktails were beautifully presented and very well priced, will definitely be returning to papillion on our next visit to Leith!
