Independent wine bar in the popular Stockbridge area that sits just off the main thoroughfare. We sampled a couple of good wines by the glass, which are available in 125ml, 175ml and 500ml carafes at a range of price points for every budget. There's a bar nibbles list with bread from the excellent Palmerston, olives, hummus etc. The interior is unpretentious and a great place to meet with friends over a drink. There are also a few beers available on tap, including their own line. Seemed very quiet this particular Sunday afternoon but it's wel worth the small detour off the main street

I always have a comfortable and cozy time when I come to this wine bar. I really enjoy the wine list. There’s always something on the list that really excites me. Although I’m usually not a fan of New World wines, they had a South African wine on the glass list that was so spectacular. They also have great wines from all over Europe, many are natural. I’m always a fan of their cheese plate and of their small plates. I really enjoyed their take on hummus. Most of all I feel the staff is really kind and knowledgeable about all the wines and makes me feel at home.

Even though it's called a "bar", food here is beyond delicious! They change menu every week, but always have a great choice for anyone. Especially liked carrots and steak, cooked till perfection with loads of flavour 👌 Will come back!

Had a great lunch, meats and cheeses. Loved the starter of Mini Venison Pie. We were in early on our own and even had Sweet Home Alabama played twice.

The new venue is very nice and welcoming. Service is great as usual, and so is the wine and snack selection. We keep coming back and they never disappoint!

This wine bar is quite alright. the fold is not that expensive, but the wines are. Everything is really good, but you have to be prepared for a nice fat addition at the end.

Cosy little wine bar in the heart of Stockbridge. Good choice of wine by the glass and what has to be said, a very extensive list by the bottle. Food served all day and I mean all day. Which is perfect for when you fancy a nibble with the glass of wine you ordered for the road. Will happily return again soon.

Went here for a couple of hours on Friday with my fiancee around 5pm and was pleasantly surprised to find a quiet atmosphere with just a few other guests when we entered (though it did fill mostly up by the time we left) The wine menu was great, not overwhelming nor sparse, and they had an autumn offer on orange wines which we took up and enjoyed! The food (appetizers) was reasonably priced and unpretentious but quality and fitting for the concept. Cozy atmosphere, warm candle lighting, low music volume so you can hold a conversation, relaxed and cheerful crowd... but the best part was the staff who were knowledgeable, welcoming, engaged, energetic and all struck the perfect balance of being relatable & familiar/chummy yet polite & professional. I'd probably try to headhunt these young ladies if I was looking to open a wine bar in Edinburgh! I just wish I wrote down the name of the beaujolais that tasted like a drumstick lolly.

Popped in for the Sunday Roast at lunchtime. Not overly busy so got a table straight away. Food was excellent, good portion and nice presentation. Cheeseboard was reasonable, pick three cheeses from the selection served with salad and chutney. Would have liked more crackers or even some bread instead. Friendly helpful staff. Couldn't sample the wide selection of wines as driving unfortunately. Not expensive for what you get in a central location.

We locals popped in late one quiet, mid-week evening & had an enjoyable bottle of South African wine recommended by the Manageress. Super friendly staff made it an enjoyable experience. Thanks 'Good Brothers Wine Bar'.

Just moved to the neighborhood and finally got a chance to check out this place. Warm, cozy and the ladies working that evening were so friendly. My friend and I enjoyed a bottle of wine, some meat and cheese. All pretty good! I will definitely be back! Looking forward to bringing my out-of-town friends to my new local wine bar!

I'm sitting here thoroughly enjoying Good Brothers' antipasto and pickle plate, which intrigued me when I saw it on the menu. It turns out to be a beautiful and very generous selection of around 8 or 9 different pickled veg - all beautifully spiced - plus two really delicious dolmades. At only $5, it's a total bargain: one plate makes a perfect light lunch; two would form the dinner of my dreams As a vegetarian/near vegan, it's often very difficult to find interesting, delicious, and healthy food: usually it's cheese-, egg- , or carb-based, often with loathsome butternut squash. It's a nice atmospheric little bistro, with friendly and attentive service, and the best lunch I've eaten in months. I can hardly wait to order again.

Had a lovely visit. Came in to celebrate a birthday and were treated to a couple of complimentary tasters of lovely wines, courtesy of Rory. Great recommendations and the place was really cosy!

We were up in Edinburgh for the weekend for my hen do (a small group of us). We came across Good Brothers Wine Bar after having a very disappointing experience in a previous bar where the staff were very rude to us! As soon as we walked in, the staff were so welcoming and accommodating and we instantly felt welcomed and the atmosphere was nice! They were very knowledgeable about their wines and the food was delicious, they basically couldn't do enough for us! I would highly recommend and will definitely return if I visit Edinburgh again!
