Great bar with live music and cheap drinks (even cheaper if you are a student!) - small glass of wine is only 3.50! The band playing on the Friday I went were good and there was a good atmosphere.
YUM! As a student tourist this place is great, live music and cheap student deals are great! I chose the Cajun chicken nachos and they were good. Generous amount of cheese, sour cream and corn chips, but would have liked to see more chicken. Good price though for the meal, would definitely go back
Nice place with nice music during our short visit in Edinburgh! We got here due to the recommendations from our friend. The haggis balls and fish and chips are quite nice here. Customer service is decent! The price is quite reasonable and there are 25%off on food if you are a student!

Before I moved to this amazing city, I was wondering around and the outside (Yes i know the outside) grabbed me, having walked around for over 2 hours! Got in to have the most amaaaaaazing breakfast, so when i moved here I went for some pink Champagne, lovvvvvely, and if you are nosey sit at the window and watch people do silly everyday things... classic!
Basically, it wasn’t gourmet food by anyone’s standards. It was simple, hearty fare that fills you up but doesn’t stick in your mind as particularly good or bad.
Really tasty food at good prices with generous portions. The young male server was really nice, the two other female servers could gave been a bit more welcoming. However still ok.

A quiet and cozy atmosphere, very good food and excellent service.
The staff was very friendly. The food was good, I tried the Scottish typical dish haggies neeps and tatties. There are very big windows and it's a bit too windy sometimes
Lovely service and nice food!
It’s worth a visit 👍
The blue cheese burger was good, worth £13. Basic pasta with tomato sauce for the same price might be a bit cheaper. The service was exceptional though and watching people passing by the window wall was surprisingly soothing, probably because of the nice ambient lighting inside
Pop in past for lunch. Seated quickly and served immediately. Went for the lunch menu, great price, two courses for under £10. Main menu is also available. Calarami starter was great, presented very well. Minute steak was tasty, cooked how I asked. Fish and chips were delicious according to o/h
Good place to dine and have a beer. Friendly staff and great service.
I was one of the staff members on Friday. There was a misunderstanding with the bouncer and the boy named in all these reviews. The bouncer herself is queer and so are several staff members. Nothing to do with homophobia. The boy was joking with his friend outside and she thought he was drunk. I was in the midst of speaking to the bouncer so we could let him back in but the group left before allowing me to do so whilst shouting at me. So I would appreciate all the people from that night stopped leaving assuming reviews with no facts
Friendly, efficient servers. We had black and blue burger and chicken burger and chips. Both were excellent. Not a good selection of beers though. Why not serve local Scottish beers???
The best burger with blue cheese sauce I've ever had! Staff is really nice and friendly. The place is split in 2 parts, foodies on one side of the bar and drinkers with the stage and live music on the other so you can hear the music but it is not too loud to bother any conversations. Atmosphere is great as you can enjoy your food and conversations while listening to the live music.
Lovely drinks, servers, food & location!
Food was amazing and excellent value for money.
Haggis and tatties were delicious.
Salmon was the best I have ever had.
