Cosy little cafe right beside Frankenstein pub. Very good prices for delicious food. Was quiet when we visited while quickly got busy (not loud, however). Great view of the street, perfect for people-watching.
Looks more like a diner than a cafe, could use a retouch.
Very good! Service was impeccable and quick. My only complain was I didn't love the cake as much as I thought I would. Everything else was delicious!
Very good English/ Scottish breakfast; the best way to start the day. Varied choice of lunch and afternoon tea items to keep you going. Attentive service with a smile. Very welcoming.

I visited this cafe which is now called the Angus Cafe for a quick snack. When I looked at the menu it looked too nice to miss out so ended up having a meal. The food is fresh and tasty and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. It's a small cafe on the high street which is not too expensive (w
Nice place with all day breakfast possibility’s and different variety’s(Mediterranean, French, American) the guy who served us was very very nice, telling stories about when he was in Spain and his next travel plans. The food is good and the amount is correct, I don’t give 5 stars because it’s quite
One of the few cafe that open early.
Nice place
Friendly staff
The best Scottish breakfast that I ever had.
White coffee was really good too
Highly recommended!!
Solid place to grab a Full Scottish breakfast and pot of tea for around £10. Hearty portions with nice quality ingredients in this casual diner-like place. The place wasn't terribly busy when I went, so it was a calm atmosphere to start the day.
Great place to eat, complete with vegetarian options. It might not be cheap, but is well served and cooked. Table options Inside and out. Charismatic service too
What a lovely place! Delicious breakfast, great coffee, superb service! Everyone is just so kind and friendly :) highly recommended!
Had a wonderful American breakfast +fresh orange juice made on the spot and good coffee. Great guys! Yesterday had excellent Salmon ecosse. A brilliant wee cafe
We went for brunch and it was a no fuss yet very delicious experience. Highly recommend stopping in if you want to grab a fresh, tasty, quick meal and go.
I loved the Angus Steak Pie and my son's Bangers and Mash. We shared a perfect pot of tea watching hundreds of people walk by the window. While attending the Edinburgh Fringe, we wanted to have lunch at the (Potter-famous) Elephant House. But there was a queue out the door, despite a light rain. Jus
We came across this little place last week and would definitely recommend it. The food was lovely and the service very friendly and welcoming. Great variety on the menu for such a little cafe and nice cosy atmosphere.
We'd left our nearby hotel, heading toward Victoria Street to do some shopping and decided to stop here for a quick bite and some coffee and tea. It's a tiny shop, so no surprise when the young fellow who seemed to be running the place asked if it was "eat in or carryout". He seated us immediately (
Delicious little hidden gem. Excellent for authentic cuisine. Highly recommend the meat pie
Lovely cafe with an amazing view of the museum & theater. Friendly staff, fantastic coffee and lovely scones.
Tasty homemade food in a lovely place.
Feels like you're getting served by your mum.
