The Empress - Edinburgh - Photo album

Delighted to see it has reverted back to it's auld 'Mathers' name. Decent range of beers served by cheery staff. Great place for meeting friends and family. Views from my window seat.
Great little local pub - nice atmosphere, cold beer and good music. Staff are really friendly and the food was simple but good. Nice place to sit on a Sunday afternoon.
Lovely place with live music, great taste with a variety of ales, malts and more!
Excellent bar in Edinburgh, great craft ales on offer, superb selection of gin, whiskey, cocktails and very good organic coffee on offer. Excellent cooked breakfast, all of the attaches picture for £9! Could be £10 easily! Next door to Premier Inn York Place and offers a much better bar.
Felt like a local on my first trip. Nice selection of various drinks (beer, cider, special gin/rum menus), plus mulled cider and great cocktails. Food selection isn't huge, but everything we had was great! Little bit of everything - Live music on Thursday, quiz night on Wednesday.
A nice place for a quick grub and drink. Located in a busy area. Very attentive staff and quick service. Food and drinks at reasonable prices. Food potions are quiet generous.
The staff were very friendly, and the food and hot chocolate were delicious.
It's now called Mathers again, good range of beers and friendly service.
Had a Mike Kearney on the piano they have in house. Sounded great. Three handpumps of the cask, good pint
Friendly service, good choice of craft beers, and surprisingly not full of tourists!
