Service is really friendly and the place has well earned popularity. Had the rainbow and chive dumplings were my fave. The pickled veg fish, guo bao rou, and japanese tofu were all tasty as well! Also saw many having their dry fried woks of goodness which looked sensational

A good place to eat delicious chinese food. I recommend the japanese tofu with broccoli. Love it so much. We also have the sweet and spicy beef which is crispy outside but still juicy and tender.

Went here about three times now and was not disappointed once. Dumplings are very tasty - can get them steamed or fried. Their sweet and sour chicken or the pork are really good. Paired with green or jasmine tea it makes it a genuine experience. A great place to go for a more casual but delicious dinner.

Very authentic Chinese food. Portion was generous. I ordered Sweet & sour crispy pork, the taste was a lot above my expectation. My servers were very friendly, always came with a smile. Will definitely be back.

Found this restaurant on my way back from Holyrood Park. Food is very authentic. Must try their dumplings. 👍🏼

pork doesn't have that weird awful pork smell like in most places in the UK (only a teeny hint)... ie. the haoshao rou braised pork was decent & certainly hit the spot - not like the best ever but very good for Scotland lol. I recommend ordering it 'cause it takes quite a bit of effort to make at home haha... Pork bok choi dumplings were nice. Veg dish was fine, like home cooking, could use more seasoning - giant portion though. Tbh I rarely find the experience of dining out here satisfactory (often pricey & very average) but this place made me glad to eat out - Would come back again. Simple but nice

EXCELLENT QUALITY DISHES Managed to grab at table here at around 12:30 on a Sunday. It started to get busy as the lunch crowd rolled in. Service was great and all the servers were friendly. Food was delivered quickly as well. We got the crispy diced chicken in spices and egg fried rice which was great! The chicken was decently crisp and had a nice spice to it. The egg fried rice was class. Also got the Rainbow dumplings which were cool but there were some that I wasn't a hug fan of. The ones I liked were great though! Need to go back to identify which ones they were 🤣

This is probably the best Chinese restaurant I’ve ever had in Edinburgh! The dumplings were handmade, and they did gave me a sense of home. The sweet and sour crispy pork was in large portion, and delicious! The chicken wings with taro was a bit too spicy for me, so mind that if you are not so accustomed to spicy food. And the staff were extremely friendly. Will come again!

Delicious food with original taste from China. especially familiar dishes from north part of China. Service is good the restaurant is clean and neat. Good price for the amount of food and the quality we get. And the lamb skewer (羊肉串儿) is very good it exceeded my expectation as it tastes quite original like the ones i can have in China.

The food was very fast, and came out looking very nice. The tables were all very neatly done and there was plenty of seating available. I was with another person, and we decided to get: an order of dumplings in a spicy soup, an order of non spicy dumplings, and pork and string beans. The spicy dumplings are very very spicy, so be careful if you're not used to it, but they taste very good. The pork and string beans was probably our favorite thing, and it was very filling. For some reason Google doesn't show the price of this place, but for two if us to dine in, the total was £26 before tip. So, definitely on the expensive side. Overall, would recommend.

I'd say why not. Got in and got served great Chinese food and their dumplings were tasty. It doesn't look high end but it doesn't have to be. The prices are okay and the staff are very kind. The food arrives really quick and the kitchen seems to be busy with many takeaways. I'm giving 4 stars because it is exactly what I expected, it is good food. I would recommend the braised pork belly for some tasty goodness. Overall, you'll be safe and served good tasty food 👍

One of the best places in Edinburgh to eat truly authentic Chinese food. Their dumplings are all hand made and can be seen at the entrance. Really enjoyed their cold beef slice dish which is exceptional. Will be going there again.

Really good, authentic Chinese food. We had the Rainbow Dumplings ("when in Rome"), the Kung Pao chicken (really spicey and delicious) and the Japanese Tofu with Broccoli (rich flavours). The service is prompt if you need to run to the nearby cinema / theatre. It's not fancy, and certainly not somewhere to go for a special occasion, but if you're looking for good food quickly, you can't go wrong.

My favourite Chinese restaurant so far! The staff are so friendly and has such a cozy atmosphere. My friend and I ordered the kungpao chicken, sweet and sour pork, and the dumplings. Everything was delicious and I’ve gone back a couple of times already. We’ve received slices of watermelon and grapes as a nice surprise at the end but it didn’t happen again the other times I was there (probably because they were too busy or ran out), but when you get your bill, there’s little mint candies too. Little touches such as these really makes me want to go back to support this local business. It’s always been busy when I’ve been there for dinner but they’re very accommodating and have seats downstairs as well so you don’t have to wait too long. Highly recommend this place!

Restaurant busy when we arrived with some tables reserved but friendly staff sat us quickly and I ordered dumplings X2, the pork and Chinese mushroom and pork and prawn, as well as pork belly soup noodles. Honestly wish I'd been able to order every dish as everything that came out to other tables looked delicious. Our dumplings and the soup noodles were fantastic, so so tasty. A truly authentic Chinese restaurant serving excellent quality food. Edinburgh is so full of great places and this is another most visit.. Fantastic... And my friends in Belfast are jealous having seen the pictures.

Sat and ate within the restaurant (August 2021). An absolutely charming small cosy Chinese restaurant that is as close as can be to authentic within the city of Edinburgh and kingdom of Scotland. Their dumplings are very good, but their talents similarly extend beyond this as their entire menu is filled with classics. Thematically the restaurant seems to be dominated with northern Chinese tastes. So no real good dimsun. But if you looking for 鱼香茄子,麻婆豆腐 or 水煮牛肉. Then for Scottish standards it's up there! 10 out of 5
