I tried Hibiki for the first time. The atmosphere was good. Not a big selection of non-alcoholic drinks that could be an improvement. The staff was polite and friendly. The food was okay. The food felt microwaved. It wasn’t very warm when I got served at the table. Like when you reheat it and leave it on the counter until the rice is done. My chicken tasted a little bit old and dried out. And the curry was just a little bit warm, almost cold. I feel the portions could be bigger a little bit. The eel that you can see in the second picture, right side, 2 pieces of that cost almost £8. For my taste, the miso soup felt a bit too salty. There were also only 2 tables occupied, on late Sunday afternoon/evening. That might explain the old food taste. Overall, I’d rate it as a very average restaurant with nice decorations. It’s worth trying out once, maybe order with delivery but not a place that would make me come back regularly.

Very good and tasty food, nice flavors and great presentation. Traditional and authentic atmosphere with fresh food. The sushi was very good and the staff very friendly and efficient. The restaurant is a bit hidden as it is located in the basement but worth a visit. The whole experience was wonderful

Went to Hibiki in the summer and chose it again for a lunch in town at the weekend based on that experience. Was not disappointed. The service is impeccable (the waiter even said glad to see you again), The food is amazing. The best duck spring rolls I have ever tasted in my life. There were many Japanese clients which is a great positive indication too! This will be a recurring favourite!

Amazing staff very friendly family atmosphere. Very quick service seeing as they made the sushi fresh as we ordered it. The mains were also great and serving sizes were huge.

The food was phenomenal, can wholeheartedly say it was the best I’ve ever had, I enjoyed every single bite, at the end, after having 1 main course I felt very comfortable full. The staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly, so welcoming, they made the whole experience 100 times better. The restaurant itself was amazing, it was so calming, with gentle music, dim lights, and a very calm atmosphere. I didn’t feel rushed at any point, the waiter appointed us seats straight away, gave us menus, then 5 minutes later came back with water (with a slice of lime and ice) for each person, without anyone asking for it, which I found so thoughtful, and they gave us as much time as we needed to pick out what we liked to eat, then came right over as we made eye contact with them, being so friendly and welcoming and kind. Overall I absolutely loved my experience, so did my mum who was with me, and we will 10009% be coming back here again. The place is amazing!

Food was good but too expensive for what you get. Food came after 10 minutes but we could taste that some of it was cooked before and then just heated as the chicken had this typical "Chicken-Reheat-Flavour". Although we took starters we were not really satisfied after the main course.

We had a wonderful experience tonight. The atmosphere reminded me of dining in a small restaurant in Japan. The food was well prepared, and well plated. And most importantly, the food tasted wonderful. My wife and I do travel a bit and find that we have a short list of precious memories of restaurants. Hibiki is now on our short list of precious meals. I’d suggest you try it soon.

4* due to the price, yes the food was very nice and I would recommend but for the size of the food it's a bit pricey, this place is like going to a michelin restaurant with the food size to price ratio even if they nock off £5/6 my total was £30 so it would make it better. I've been to a few Japanese/sushi restaurants and the prices there are alot lower but the food quality is way better. I think with changing the price levels it would be very popular, the gentleman who served me I couldn't fault he was very welcoming and friendly (even if it was literally just me in). All in all as I said I would recommend to friends but sadly I wouldn't rush back to this restaurant due to the above.

Such a hidden gem! Not so hidden though. 😅 I just wanted to say it because this restaurant is located under another restaurant. Loved that we discovered Hibiki. Such a lovely and relaxing environment with music that calms your mind and body. Aside from that, their food is excellent!! I ordered their Mackerel with miso soup- the soup is legit delicious!! The mackerel is so soft plus topped with savoury sauce and sesame seeds which is perfect for me! Our other order was the Ramen! So far the best Ramen we’ve tasted in UK!! Noodles are soft and not too heavy, the broth was perfect as well and the serving is just right! The staffs were friendly and soft spoken. Would highly recommend this restaurant. Also, i wish they have a branch in England or in London so we can easily access it 😉

Starter and mains are good, as is the service. The only thing we prefer differently is the type of noodle, it was soft and missed the bite to it that we're used to with Japanese noodles. Otherwise it would be a 5-star for us.
