Great Spoons venue in a magnificent old bank. The architecture is amazing inside and out. Good quality and good value for money. A pizza with haggis chillis and pepperoni made my day
As usual the toilets were about as far from the bar as possible, this time being downwards in the cellar half way to
Great choice of beers and the usual value for money on food and drinks, absolutely gorgeous building (previously a bank) and don't miss the chance to see the original chubb bank safe in one of the rooms.
Quintessential Wetherspoons experience. In a city where the crowds run rampant The Standing Order is a place of refuge. Our last day in the UK and in Scotland and we will be missing Spoons til we return. We have logged at least a dozen in our 4 week stay.
Went there several times when showing my parents around in Edinburgh. A nice place to have lunch with kids and we like the rooms which are more quiet than the open area. The food there may not be the best when compared with some other Wetherspoon but the atmosphere and decor are definitely great!
Interesting place to grab a bite and beer. Typical fare. Our group had a curry, eggs/chip/ham and a burger. A wide selection of beverages were on offer including pulled pints, local cider and spirits. The former bank gives a lot to look at from the decor to the architecture to other patrons.
Only came in for drinks. Standard wetherspoons but in a beautiful setting of the old theatre. Lively atmosphere which was great. Quick service. Delicious marshmallow gin with lemonade less than £4 so can't fault that. Only thing was I was asked for my ID twice despite being IDed by the security guar
Fabulous interior of this former Union Bank right in the centre if Edinburgh. Breakfast was good and very reasonably priced. It's really commendable that Wetherspoons brings these old buildings back so we can enjoy them.
The building is impressive and huge. Beer was good quality but food wasn’t a big deal. As the place’s main purpose is to serve drinks, the crowd can be very loud.
A really perfect example of a 'spoons at its very best. The building is grade 1 listed and is phenomenal with incredible decor - the ceilings and windows are lovely. 'spoons has done its usual minimalist conversion to turn it into a pub.
From the outside the building looks like it will have a dark i
I went to this amazing pub by chance and it turned out that they serve one of the best fish and chips I have ever had. Their prices are decent and affordable. I paid around £10 for this meal and a soft drink included. Really recommend it.
