Amazing little place! Friendly service and nice atmosphere to sit in. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, would go back in a heartbeat. The miso aubergine, spicy salmon maki and red dragon roll were some of our favourites.
Really enjoyed our meal here, and so happy to have a decent sushi place in Stockbridge!
The bill was very reasonable as well.

My friends Julie and Scott are having a slightly shitty time at the moment, so it was good to see the restaurant gods swoop in with a little cheer for them. They’ve long lamented the lack of sushi in Stockbridge so the arrival of Kenji Sushi, where Suree Thai used to trade. It’s a second restaurant from the people behind Bentoya.
A lot of choice in the menu. Everything we ordered was delicious. It was so delicious that we went 2 days in a row for dinner. The soft shell crab tempura was our favorite. Staff was friendly.
I was staying in the area and was pleasantly surprised to find a sushi restaurant there. I hadn't booked so had to wait for an hour or so to get a table. Food was great and I'd happily go again.
Great wee sushi place in Stockbridge, food was served super quickly and tasted delicious. The only disadvantage was that it's only cash payment. However, the cash machine is just round the corner, and the place is totally worth an effort.

The menu can be looked similar as they share the sister restaurant with Betoya (bread street) and Umi (opposite of Appleton building of university of Edinburgh)
The maki roll sets are various to be chosen and acceptably good, the katsudon is a alright but not very impressive.
The service is very nice but you might need to carry cash (just in case).
Overall, the Japanese atmosphere, staff and service are good, the foods are alright with open heart and mind.

The restaurant is located one level below ground so you will have to look for the sign on the ground level (by the pavement) to locate. Please beware this is a cash only business. Didn’t have to wait for seats but on a busy night I recommend calling ahead. Food tasted amazing. The portions are decent for the price. Service was good. Only problem were the tables. The table tops were sticky and a little too small. May be because of the disinfectant they use on the table tops melting the coating or drying out on the surface. Otherwise a very good place to dine or have a snack with friends! Would recommend! They also have decent delivery on popular apps if you don’t feel like a night out.
We were craving Japanese and found Kenji Sushi in Stockbridge and we were thoroughly impressed with the quality of the sushi and the friendly service. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and expertly prepared, and the rolls were creative and delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, and the prices were very reasonable.
Amazing Food really. One of the best Japanese food I have tasted. The menu is very inclusive for all taste palettes, vegetarians and vegans too. The food is amazing along with great service and lovely ambiance. Value for money! We went there twice for dinner on our 4 day trip to Edinburgh. Reservation is a must and only cash is accepted.
Great interior design gives you a feel of being somewhere authentic and the food adds to that. We had several small plates and sushi. All had great flavour. Loved the ice cream dessert. Simple but delicious. Staff are lovely. Prices better than reasonable.
The sushi is great! You can tell that the sushi is a high grade fish. Portion size is a wee bit small but everything is lovely. I wish they had more seasonal stuff on their menu as I've tried most of what they offer👌
