The Advocate - Edinburgh - Photo album

Our 1st visit here and the food and service was absolutely amazing. The gentleman servicing us was quick and efficient, as well as taking time between drinks order and food order. Now the food, ugh it was to die for, i work for greene king myself so i also love to try different ones aorund the uk e
Splendid place. Flabbergasted by the Scottish experience. Great suggestions. Interestingly, halloumi was the most delicious dish!
Stopped in for a bite with the family and we really enjoyed it. It's an unassuming place but the pub style food was very tasty and there were big portions. The chicken sandwich was particularly good.
Lovely staff, nice ambience, decent food. The burger was tasty but slightly overcooked and the menu says it includes onion rings, but it came with literally TWO tiny onion rings. Other than that it was a nice experience at very reasonable prices, very clean and the staff really was lovely.
Th Advocate is a fine pub with traditional dark decor. There are a few TV screens for watching sports. Good selection of beers and spirits. Bar staff friendly and efficient.
If you are looking for a great Scottish pub, do not look any further! This is a gem in Edinburgh - excellent service, amazing food and lovely atmosphere! Thank you for a great evening with tasty beer and truly exceptional service!
Lovely atmosphere. Food and beer are great, and the staff go out of their way to help.
Atmosphere was great, Fantastic fish and chips light and not greasy at all, a very tasty chicken burger, amazing iPa draught, very nice and polite ladies. Would definitely revisit
Very nice! When we walked in after being rejected from multiple sold out restaurants, this one had plenty of space. Very nice vibe here, pretty chill. It's basically a big pub. You've got a big bar, tv's in the whole place, and some pub menu items. Food was very good, and the service was pretty quic
Delicious food! Absolutely loved the lemon tart and the icecream.
Great place. A lot of options of beers and we were very well attended. Interesting place to have a beer and watch a game. The music was very good too. I recommend.
The food was lovely, the atmosphere was relaxing, the staff were really pleasant and very helpful, it was that good, we visited three times over the weekend!!!
Lovely pub to stop by on your visit to Edinburgh - highly recommend! Very cosy and comfortable and we were treated wonderfully by the staff. Rosie was super friendly and attentive and offered her local insights which was great for us tourists!
Excellent Scottish pub, very homely and brilliant decor. We visited with friends from Germany and they loved every second. Wide variety to choose from on the menu including vegetarian and the food is fantastic! Brilliant atmosphere and we will definitely return!
Great lunch right off the Royal Mile with amazing toasties…Eleanor was top notch and made us feel right at home especially since we had our 13 month old daughter with us..kid friendly, great food, and a laid back atmosphere…will definitely be going back!
Went for lunch and a few beers. It's a wee bit shabby and bleach smell wasn't nice when we went in but soon disappeared. Excellent food and beer, big improvement.
