Came with a group for dinner and drinks. Located on Rose Street in Edinburgh. Good selections of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. We also had dinner and I ordered the sausage mash which was quite tasty. Their haggis is also quite good. Overall we had a good experience here and definitely would
Had a couple of drinks here and an amazing pie (at 21.45 I was surprised they still served but I am glad they did, that pie was great!). Atmosphere was nice, seating not optimal but they made do with the space they have. Service was acceptable, spoke to a barman who was very helpful but also overhea
We spent nice time on the 12th of June. We ordered fish plate for 2 adults and chicken for children.
The place is very cosy, food is delicious, staff is attentive, prices are reasonable, central location but Street is quite and lovely.
Thank you, guys.
Being in Edinburgh highly recommend to visit t
Stumbled upon this pub by accident a few days ago, and very glad we visited it! It's got a great atmosphere and the food is good. Definitely recommend stopping in for a drink / some food if you are in the area.
A fun, lively pub. We had several pints and a Raspberry and Orange Blossom Spritz. We ordered chicken and fish bites and halloumi fries. Everything was delicious.
Great food (Award Winning Pies), Great drinks (alcoholic and non), and Great atmosphere (that decor!). Kids welcome. Highly enjoyable!
Visited yesterday, lovely pub and staff were really helpful. In particular, Katie and Kaitlyn gave great recommendations. Would definitely recommend a visit if you're in Edinburgh!
Beautiful old pub on Rose Street just away from the busiest streets in Edinburgh. Interiors are historic and have recently been restored with a lovely wooden bar, and incredibly ornate high ceilings.
Don’t miss the small room tucked away at the back, great for a quiet catchup or a game of cards.

My wife and I were very impressed with the menu choices, and have every intention of a follow up visit in the near future. We were also delighted to sit in the Sir Walter Scott Vault room, away from the main bar, nice and cosy on a cold October evening in Edinburgh. My wife was particularly impres
A beautiful old bar with lots of history. Love that they have kept all the old features. It's like stepping back in time. Staff are helpful friendly and so helpful. I would recommend calling in for a pint a bite to eat.
Well, of all the little pubs we came across, this one would have to be our favorite. The staff was fantastic. The young lady, Alyssa, was very helpful and poured a fantastic Guinness! The Scotch selection was nice and the variety of beers gave different choices on different evenings. The food was al
Popped in on Sunday as we were needing a coffee. Didn’t try the food but it looked nice and the whole pub smelt amazing!! Coffees were on point and certainly quenched our thirst. Next time we are in Edinburgh, definitely going back to try the food!!
Another pub in Rose Street. Nothing extraordinary here, just a pub, but off course, a beautiful one.
Really interesting pub with great original fitting
Went for a drink. Old fashioned pub but very welcoming. Great service. Didn't eat but menu look good
Staff were brilliant in accommodating a large party. They also came out with colouring books and pens for the children. They split the bill as asked and food was great. The room we had was spot on and the whole experience was great. Thanks so much!
Came in on a Friday night, and although it was pretty busy, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Caitlyn in particular gave us some great recommendations that we really enjoyed. We’ll be back again when in Edinburgh :)
Loved this pub. Great atmosphere, friendly and the old fashioned bar, so ornate. I will visit again when home for a visit.
Scottish style was nice.
Beers & whisky were good.
The waiting time for the food's quality was à bit long...good but not amazing.
