I can’t recommend this place enough. When my brother was visiting Edinburgh from abroad, this is THE burger shop on my list that I wanted to introduced to him. We had three burgers plus beers, just delicious and it was easily become my brother’s favourite burger in the UK.
Super chill and cozzy environment. Great selection of Brit and Scottish crafts. The food is also amazing, perfect to pair with your beer. The staff is awesome, friendly at all time. A must when in Edinburgh. 🍻
Had a lovely evening here during a recent trip to Edinburgh. Fantastic large beer selection, a craft beer lovers dream! We had burgers, fries and cauli wings, food was delicious. I’m really sad I don’t live more locally because I would be ordering that vegan burger all the time. The guy who served u
Loved this place. Nice drink selection, great pub food and cool staff.
Amazing place! Had the Chili Burger and Newbarns Pale Ale - both were delicious and just an awesome way to start the week / cap the weekend. Would have taken pictures but devoured everything 🤤 Staff were sweet and attentive and atmosphere was super cozy. Highly recommend 🙏🏼
First of all- The Salt Horse is off the beaten path of The Royal Mile so it's away from all the crowds! We were greeted instantly and sat right away. We did arrive right at the time of opening though, which was perfect. Our beer guru was very friendly and knowledgeable- giving my husband advice and
very interesting beer and burgers pub in Edinburgh, I started with the dark coffee beer and then a sinfully delicious bacon burger and lager , sooo tasty . The staff were really nice , like really really nice , I loved this place!
A small friendly brewpub with a limited menu. Best part is the staff who make you feel like a regular.
Friendly staff and quick service. Nice atmosphere - a lot of visitors to Edinburgh. The selection of cans in the bottle shop is more interesting than the draft selection in the main bar. Good value given how close it is to the tourist centre.
A fantastic selection of beers and tasty burgers with glass-like chips! The food menu was quite short, but I like that they did a few things really well. The staff were attentive, chatty, and clearly cared about their work
This is my favourite burger in Edinburgh. There isn't much choice when it comes to food, but that is its strength. Incredible quality delicious well thought out food. Everything on the plate was delicious. The beer selection was also excellent, but you don't need to be a beer drinker to enjoy a mea
Been coming here every time I’m in Edinburgh for work, and it’s one of my favorites. I love the chill small brewpub vibe. Love the variety of beers. Today I tried the cauliflower bombs with buffalo sauce and they were delicious. Always a great experience whenever I’m here.
Goats on tap! 😀 Took the kid for a burger for lunch today after a wet walk, "this burger is a 9.5 out of 10" Update (because Google insisted): It's still an awesome bar and bottle shop. Update 2: Still an awesome little bar. Needs a crossover with Holy Goat to be on tap though, a Salty Goat, if y
The sheer variety (350+ drinks) will have you coming back for more! There’s something for everyone here.
I haven’t expected pub burger can be delicious. B.B.B is seriously super great! Wings (BBQ sauce) are great as well. We tried 4 different beers, they were great too! Just I don’t recommend chips with sauce menu. Just go for normal chips.
Absolutely superb food. Some of the tastiest burgers you'll have. The chicken wings were awesome and the sauce they were marinaded in was fantastic. A bit like the hard rock heavy metal sauce they've stopped doing. The choice of beers was really good. Glad we stumbled upon this restaurant would defi
We were lucky to find this place and beat the crowds in Edinburgh(maybe I shouldn't be writing this review after all...). Nice beer selection, nice food and quiet atmosphere, what more could you possibly want. Cheers to the bartenders/owners for their lovely chat and selection of the Whisky flight t
Did not get a chance to have the food. But the selection of beer both in bottles and on tap was fantastic! And it was served COLD which is hard to find in Scotland. The atmosphere was great! Not to crowded. Although it was just off the Royal Mile it felt like we had found the locals hidden Gem! Thi
