Great pub with a chilled atmosphere and wonderful food. The staff were all first class as well. We were staying at Fountain court on the canal and this was a short 5-10 minute walk
Nice venue, friendly staff. Ordered the beef pie which was lovely but had a big holder inside the pie which I presume is to keep the pastry up. Would have been helpful to be warned about this when the dish was brought out. However over all a fairly nice meal.
Never disappoints! Love the Fountain, their red curry based dishes when on the menu are absolutely stunning. Always find it a tough decision to pick from the specials or the main menu as everything is always so good. Good selection of beers and drinks aswell in a really laid back atmosphere.
This was my second time at The Fountain but my first time for food. We came around 2:30pm and we were still given a lunch menu which was delighful. From what I remember one course was £8, two for £11 and three for £14. I only felt like having a main course though so I went for the seabass with mussels and chorizo. This was very good and it was accompanied by potatoes. However, I also ordered a side of green salad which was very tasty and well dressed. They had quite a lot of different wines by glass which was nice. I was drinking chenin black which was a very nice wine. The service was friendly and they dealt with a group of 7 very well. I guess it was a quiet time for them as well since there were only 2 other tables at that time. But well done The Fountain I'll be back!
This pub is great, they have an Interesting menu and the food has always been top quality. Sundays roasts are a particular specialty. We love the liquor coffee and dessert wine selection to end our meal, the choice here is excellent, very decent range of beers and whisky too. Staff are always very friendly and it's child and dog friendly- not many places accommodate both and still have a nice atmosphere!
Great atmosphere, lovely decor and interior, and most of all, fantastic food (and drinks!)
Mixture of lounge seating and tables lets you cozy up and relax, and also accommodate to larger groups.
Dining area is smaller but tables very well placed and does not feel like you intrude into someone else's space. ( I'm talking about when you end up sitting back to back with a stranger and having to play that shuffle in shuffle out game with your chairs)
Food is simple, straightforward and amazing.
Suits families, date nights AND just hanging out with friends.
We love the Fountain. If you're off to the cinema or after somewhere to laze away a Sunday afternoon here is definitely the place. The fish and chips is huge, the Sunday roasts are awesome, steak and ale pie if it's still on the menu is excellent! It's decor is lovely and has a pretty chilled atmosphere.
It offers a great selection of ales, beers and wines. Definitely not somewhere you'd expect to find on Dundee Street but a must. The menu is seasonal and always caters for everyone and well priced too. And the staff are excellent. The Fountain is definitely somewhere we don't visit often enough.

Great quality food, when it arrived. Was apart of a larger party that arrived at 7.30 on a Friday. Didn't even get our starters until nearer 8.30 when you're starving waiting for well over 45 minutes since ordering and main course at around 9.15. Was unbelievably slow to the point you wonder what's going on. Other than that, place was nice and servers were on point.
Also, would be nice if windows could be opened up as it becomes a little heat trap at the back of the bar with no air circulating and sun shining in
Good pub near Fountainpark.
Good selection of beers, very good food , the fish and chips was amazing, good staff.
The price was the downside, too expensive compared to other pubs around the city.
The interior could use a little redo.

This bar is an absolute gem of a place for both food and drink. I had the bone in beef pie such a generous portion and excellent value for money. Really friendly bar staff and a great place to meet on a Friday with work buddies or friends. Check this place out for sure :-)
Well where do I start. I was here about a week ago , celebrating a friends birthday 🎂. It was a good sized table of maybe 12-14 ppl.
Some of us were a little late, but the waiting staff were very patient and understanding .
I ordered the steak and bone pie and my partner the crispy fried cod fillet.
Both of which were excellent.
Thoroughly enjoyed our food and a little too much of Italian lager in my case. But my memory is of the staff being gracious, even to the drunk old man 😁. Very much looking forward to my next visit.

I had the Sunday Roast, it was delicious. The meat was tender and had a lot of pieces, the potato was well fried and not oily. 10/10. The environment is pet friendly.
I came to this very quirky and modern pub with my girlfriend, for some food and drinks. I got served by a young man by the name Tom, who was not only extremely pleasant but a complete credit to the company. He was very attentive ensuring we were fully satisfied. The pub is very well run, with a large variety of products and a perfect environment for some cosy food and drinks with your loved ones. I’ll definitely be back, could recommend this place enough!
Amazing food friendly staff, nice decor and good selection of drinks
I came here to watch rugby with friends. The staff were really friendly and accommodating, even came up to let my friend's dog and had a chat with us. The food was really good and so were the drinks. Nice chilled pub with great service and food. I'd come here again and recommend it to others.
Came down to watch the rugby world cup and it was a really great spot, our table was well placed, the sound quality was good and it wasn't too busy there was room to move around to the toilet or the bar.
The food was good, we had the loaded fries which were great, the chunky fries were good and the chicken croquette salad was tasty but not the best value for money in my opinion.
Drinks range was good, old mout cider was delicious, old town lager and Guinness.
