The service & quality here is always first-rate. Worth coming to Edinburgh for the business lunch alone. I’ve never been disappointed by the quality or quantity of food. And it’s eminently handy for Haymarket Station if you’re travelling.
I found the food exquisite and reasonably priced. Their service is excellent too and the dining space is quiet and pleasant. The location is central, so it's easy to get there. I highly recommend it.
Been here once, ambience is good and service too. I ordered veg and food was okay. one large dish will be sufficient for two so dont end up ordering too much like me. value for money is medium.

My brothers 'local' came highly recommended by him. And rightly so. Somewhat of a legend in Edinburgh Omar Khayyam has been around for a long time, serving up some fantastic food. The fact they have been around for so long shows the high standard that they have continually produced over the years hasn't stopped.
I'm still somewhat new to the Indian restaurant scene, so I've been very excited trying new places for the last couple of years. This place doesn't disappoint.
After a warm welcome, we were served our drinks and shortly after the food. Every dish was delicious. So flavoursome and deep with spice and richness. And the puddings ! Amazing.

Visited here yesterday for my birthday. Was lovely. The service was amazing. All staff members was very happy and polite. They poured our drinks and everything for us. Making it feel like a fancy dining experience. The restaurant is spacious and nice inside. My daal was the best one I had ever tried. My veg rice was 10/10 as well and oh my the Naan bread I had never seen one so big.
From where I m from I can say this restaurant foods are authentic and no compromise to western taste. The spices used and culinary skills surely exceed expectations. It will surprise you especially at this western land.
My girlfriend and I went for a meal the other day. The food was so tasty, portion sizes were great and was overall good value for money. All of the staff were very pleasant, Naz especially. Would highly recommend!
This restaurant certainly ticks all the boxes , it is undoubtedly one of our family favourites. Our meal was superb and service was far greater then we have had across other restaurants. It was a very memorable experience and I highly recommend.

I had my first Punjabi meal at this restaurant and I honestly couldn’t have wished for a better experience. The service was great. People were extremely nice and the food was so sooo delicious.
Mister Jameel was patient with me, and was nice enough to recommend dishes with detailed explanation.
I recommend this place a lot.

Went here for business lunch and must admit the food is totally delicious authentic Indian food from the pickle tray with poppadoms to the hot curries we ordered and ice cream all accompanied with a peacock cider this has been an awesome experience and the staff remembered us on 2nd visit and were brilliant on both occasions

On 12th August, my wife and I had a late lunch at this restaurant. Although we wanted to visit this restaurant, we didn’t have time. Today, we took 3 course lunch menu plus Chai tea. The service was impeccable even though it was a busy Saturday evening and we hadnt booked. Every detail thought of. Staff were friendly and approachable. So efficient. What a treat. The food was excellent. I had lamb korma and the meat was so tender. The pashwari nan was like none I'd tasted before. So delicious. My friend and I decided that no matter where we end up in the city we will make the effort to return. The decor was aesthetically pleasing. ✨️ whoever owns this business I hope you know you have an excellent team and appreciate them. Absolutely awesome!

What a lovely surprise this place. It's affordable and tasty. The service was kind and fast. I went there after a long day in airports and it brought me back to life!

This place far exceeds any sort of service I’ve experienced in the US. The food was excellent, the staff is on top of it. They had amazing vegan options and the flavors of everything were so good. I loved this place.
Just visited this restaurant after it being recommended by a friend and I must say, don’t listen to the few bad reviews. These guys were first class from arriving to leaving. Device, very attentive, friendliness, very good, food, quick, hot and delicious. We will definitely add this to our list of restaurants for revisiting. Malai kebab was different than what you usually get it was too cheesy but not bad. Meat thali was good especially the lamb gravies in it. Gulab jamun was with cream not ice-cream which was also different but not bad. Staff was very good. Will like to visit again.
Went for lunch yesterday. We ate off the main menu not the lunch offer. Fantastic food . We both had the chicken madras which was very tasty , nicely hot and full of flavour and the right spices. The naan bread was huge , no messing about and well done. First came here in 1992 , not been here much since then due to living away , but really pleased to say the restaurant had the same standards and vibe. Really friendly staff and superb service from Naz. Thanks for a great meal Naz, hope to see you again soon 👍
