The Conan Doyle - Edinburgh - Photo album

Very old 18th centurian pub that gives the perfect Conan Doyle vibe (as the name suggests). Really well maintained. Great Scottish food. Not very pocket friendly 🙃. Great service ✨. Very friendly staff. A little waiting time doesn't cause much harm. 😋 I went there on a Sunday afternoon, but no rese
Doyle has history and charm. Stepping into the pub is stepping back in time. The service is a bit too casual if your time is pressed. If not, the beer and Scotch offerings are good, the pies excellent and the sticky toffee top shelf. It does get crowded and the dining area is small.
Excellent place for a tourist to eat a dinner. Fish & chips, steak pies and other dishes are great. It was so good we ate here two days in a row.
Was in Edinburgh for 3 nights and this was by far my favourite meal. My friend and I had dinner and it was an amazing experience. I have allergies and they took that very seriously, doing a clean in the kitchen before preparing my food. The service was amazing, the food was amazing, the atmosphere
Great pub with a good range and quality of food and beverages. It's situated close to the new tram line, bus stops, the main theatres and retail centre. It has a cozy vibe at night and plenty of sports on the tv (if that's your jam). Food wise you can pick a tasty pie or burger, or perhaps some salm
A very interesting pub. I did not have a meal here, so I cannot comment on the food. I did like the atmosphere and decoration of the place.
Great atmosphere and they were fantastic in helping us around a dairy allergy. (Limited menu for dairy allergies, but they made excellent suggestions!)
Great place to have food and drinks! Delicious pies, highly recommended to visit! We visited midday so there was no need to make a reservation!
Ate here one evening during the Fringe. There is a good choice of starters and mains on the menu, and good beers also. The steak pie was hearty with lots of beefy filling and nice crisp pastry. The fish pie was also good and satisfying with a mashed potato topping. The pub is close to a statue of She
Friendly staff . It was a popular Saturday when other pubs were short on staff due to the Queen's passing, but they welcomed me as a solo tourist traveler and I had a seat at the window. The Toad in the Hole was delicious. Not knowing local ales, the bar keep recommended a dark beer, and it was perf
Great theming and food and drinks. Though the themes are mostly surface level. Still worth the visit! Lots of great traditional Scottish food!
Cozy pub in the heart of Edinburgh. The food was amazing and I can’t recommend the haggis dish enough. There’s a wide variety of drinks and attentive members of staff. Shoutout to Hana who’s extranet professional and friendly! Though it can be quite crowded during Fridays and Saturdays so booking in
Though we were in the City from the boonies the costs of alcoholic drinks came as a nasty surprise 😳. The food, however, was fairly priced, well presented and plentiful. Service was friendly and professional. The ambience is very nice and does sort of reflect a Victorian atmosphere.
