Night out Meal
Was meeting a friend in Edinburgh and decided to have a meal here. It was excellent and reasonably priced and I have no hesitation in returning or recommending to others.
After frantically searching (and failing) to find a restaurant for some dinner on Christmas eve , we stumbled upon Quattro Zero - and we were super impressed.
The restaurant itself is lovely: modern, stylish and elegant with the right level of music/noise coming from the open kitchen.
The food was also amazing - all freshly cooked but served just at the right times.
The pastas were super saucy and tasty and the pizzas crispy just how they should be. The topping/fillings in the pastas and pizza were perfect too, not scrimping or saving.
We cannot wait to go back for the price it turned out to be either (it was super cheap - only £30 for three diners)
Thank you Quattro Zero for the lovely dining night.
Me and my friends went to Edinburgh for the weekend and were staying near this restaurant, so decided to give it a try.
It was really lovely, with a wide range of choices and the food was amazing, at a reasonable price.
This is by far one of my favourite restaurants to visit in the city centre.
I have always visited using a Gourmet Society Card, which means 50% off the total bill. However, the restaurant also offers a bargain lunch deal that is definitely worth checking out. Even at full price, the portions are enormous and excellent value.
Starters-wise, I highly recommend the Quattrozero board. This is an excellent taster of all the best of the menu- antipasto, caprese salad, arancini, calamari. We have in the past had this to share for two but believe me, there is more than enough for four.
Now as a gluten free diner, Italian is not a cuisine I would usually opt for. However, I was extremely impressed when they offered to rustle me up a gluten free pizza. My other favourite option is the melanzane parmigiana- like a lasagne, but using sliced aubergine instead of pasta sheets. A word of warning, though- the serving is HUGE and I have started asking for a half portion as I can never finish it!
My non GF friends have always been pleased with their meals. What is really great is this place offers so much more than just pizza/pasta but proper, delicious Italian cooking.
Quattro Zero never fails to impress. The staff are wonderful and the food is deliciously filling and comforting. Be sure to add it to your list.
Went at lunchtime and was really busy. Not surprising. Excellent value for money with two courses for less than £6. Penne Arribiata was a little salty for my taste but the spinach and ricotta cannelloni was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed the polenta chips too.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere, & superb service. We are visiting from Australia.
Very large menu and the food was authentic Italian. Also, the portion sizes are enormous. Pleasant, family friendly atmosphere, reasonable prices, and friendly attentive servers. If you are a visitor to this lovely city and need a Haggis or fish 'n chips break, visit this restaurant for an enjoyable meal.
Life Begins at. A recent addition to the West End, the funky modern interior is the perfect balance of casual and stylish. Their 2 course lunch deal is great value and I had the minestrone soup and a pepperoni pizza. The soup was fresh and tasty, the pizza was the real deal with a crispy well fired crust. My waiter (David) was friendly and attentive and explained several options on the menu. In all, a good experience and recommended.
Fantastic food and great value for money. Staff are really friendly and welcoming and I would highly recommend the arancini and sirloin steak with Parmesan shavings, fries and balsamic. Deelishh. Must visit!
Quattro Zero is a great place to go for food, whether you sit in or take-away. The staff are always really friendly and very attentive, so the service is top notch. Then there is the food which is great, the calamari is delicious and so too is the burger. Their pizzas and pastas are good as well, I always treat myself to one when I'm working across the road.
Really lovely food they have plenty of pizza and pasta options. The server was great too. I shared the calamari and breaded mozzarella for starter (fyi it's actually in bread a bit like a toastie!) And then had mushroom ravioli.
Wow, If you want to taste real Italian cusine, you better try Quattro Zero, then after the main meal have the amazing Tiramisu which melts on the tongue!
As you can see our plates before and after!
Thank you for your wonderful food!
Clean and modern interiors. Super friendly staff. Recommend to try ravioli al porcini. Overall a great place for lunch and dinner. Good selection of wines, beers and coktails.
We enjoyed our Italian food here. Ther are Manu vegetarian options and you can even ask for gluten free food.
Great place, nice food (anything you order here is good, so no worries). Price is very nice as well, mainly in lunchtime :) enjoyed everything
Friendly staff, tasty food off the very reasonably priced lunchtime menu!
Gorgeous Italian Restaurant with great service and the nicest house white wine I have ever had! The food was pretty damn scrummy too!
Really friendly, family feel with authentic Italian food. A great independent place to stop for a meal, coffee and ice cream too!
Small but very nice italian restaurant. Food was very good.
