Wanted to try shortbread in Edinburgh and saw many people carrying bags from this place so we went in as well. It’s a small shop, very cutely decorated and smells heavenly. They had three types of shortbread cookies and plenty of macaroons which also seemed to be quite popular. Bought the shortbread and some macaroons, both were fresh and tasted good. Took a point off as there can add two three tables and serve some coffee to dine in instead of take away only.

The macarons are the best I've ever tasted in my life and all the better as they are giant sized! The texture is amazing, perfectly crisp on the outside and more chewy close to the middle. Always fresh and with inventive flavours any macaron lover must stop by here!

Was walking by and couldn't resist the macaroons and cupcakes displayed on the windows. Full marks for presentation and the delicacies speak for themselves.

When it comes to adorable cupcakes and tasty macaroons, you just can't beat Bibi's. As soon as you walk in you are instantly blown away by the amazing choice on offer. From the daily specials to the Cookie Monster designed cupcakes, they are pretty special. They also taste incredible. Sometimes cupcakes can be all icing and a plain old sponge but the last one I had a little strawberry filling surprise in the sponge which was amazing. I recently tried out the Iron Brew macaron. It completely tasted of my favourite fizzy drink with almost a hint of bubblegum. I'm really impressed with the pricing for the macarons. Normally they can be pretty small but Bibi's are a little larger and I feel you get more for your money! If you have a sweet tooth and want good quality cakes, this is the place to go!

I have walked past Bibi's so many times and I have always meant to go in but never had the chance. Today on my lunch break I finally managed to make it through the front door.
Straight away I was hit with an amazing smell... Sugar! The cakes are displayed really well and all the colours look brilliant. I was just going to buy myself a cupcake but once I was inside I decided I needed to bring home some macarons for my boyfriend.
There are so many different flavours and types of cupcakes and macarons to chose from, and they all look amazing. They also sell a selection of homemade tray bakes. I decided to go for the chocolate orange cupcake, a pink champagne macaron and a mango and passion fruit macaron.
The cupcake was delicious, it had exactly the right ratio of icing to sponge and the sponge was nice and moist. The macarons were a little disappointing however, as the were lacking in flavour; especially the mango and passion fruit one.
Bibi's is somewhere I would definitely visit to pick up cupcakes for a special event or gift, as the both look and taste very yummy!

Always wanted to try the cupcakes here as I've heard so much about them! So stopped in a couple of weeks ago and got a cupcake each for me and my flatmates. They had an amazing collection so it was hard to chose, but finally decided on smarties, Nutella, chocolate orange and vanilla fudge cupcakes! The vanilla fudge was amazing, the icing was so good and there was a gooey fudge centre which was delicious! My flatmates said that there cupcakes were amazing too!

As you've probably realised from my previous review of Cuckoo's Bakery, I'm a big baker and critic of cakes and cupcakes. I pass by Bibi's so often that one day, I asked my friend if we could stop by. I felt like a child, pressed up against the shop window, admiring the cupcake display. We went in and bought some cupcakes and I've been hooked ever since. Like with most other bakeries and patisseries, Bibi's updates their flavours on a daily basis, so you might not always get the same flavours. I've never had a problem with not buying any cupcakes when I walk in.

Since they first opened, they now offer cakes, macarons and baked slices as well. Compared to the Cuckoo Bakery's prices, Bibi's cupcakes are definitely more reasonable and worth the price you pay.

Love this place! Best cupcakes I have had in town and they look stunning. Their scones are also delicious (and usually huge!). Their macarons and brownies are 🤤 🤤. They also have shortbread which is very typical of Scotland same as the scones. You can sit in on a small counter with stools or take away and they do tea, coffee and hot chocolate too. The boxes they put the things into are lovely so perfect for gifts as well!

If words can describe how good is the dessert in this place, i would only say heavenly! I try their macaroon, cupcakes (the cinnamon one, try it!), dollar cake, and milk biscuit. Oh how nice the employee. If youre an employee i hope the owner give you a raise. If youre the owner, i hope everyone could see this and try your dessert!

We got a cookie and a cupcake from here yesterday. Both were really nice. My cupcake had filling on the inside of the sponge which was a nice surprise. The cookie had a nice texture. Staff were reasonably friendly and there were a good selection of sweet treats to choose from. The macrons looked nice but a bit too expensive at £2 for 1. For something that I can eat in one go, that’s a little too pricey for me.

I climbed the steps, wrestled the door open and walked into a clean bakery brimming with picture postcard perfect cupcakes! We're talking works of art and while I was there people popped in for gift boxes and that's a good choice. Bringing cake treats to a party? Check here. Out of the corner of my eye I saw scones and macarons, but they're really second fiddle to the cupcakes. Third fiddle. The staff greeted me warmly and I got served straight away. I was here because Bibi's is supporting a food week called 358 Eat for charity. Edinburgh has loads of bakeries but Bibi's one of the few to help out. That's a reason to visit this bakery. I noticed that not all the staff knew about the 358 deal or how to put it through the till. Awkward, I hate being that customer and I know how cringe it is for staff as well. I also know how hard staff communication is and training can be for SMEs but it's totally worth the effort. Tip: You can sit in here and plug into the wall power to recharge your tech. Just don't abuse. My coffee was delicious and Bibi's have a thank you logo wall to their suppliers and I recognised local, ethical suppliers. I had a cookies and cream cupcake which I'd also have been proud to unpack and serve to friends at a party. Overall? In a city full of bakeries, Bibi's is one to visit.

The service was very friendly and my personal favourites were the double chocolate and the salted caramel cupcakes. The price for these delicacies was perfectly reasonable, I'm more than happy to support the bakers. But beware that one will definitely feed you for the remainder of the afternoon. Amzing!

Amazing cakes and bakes. The flavours are so wonderful and work really well together. I had the lemon and elderflower cupcake, and it had such a gentle and sweet taste. The staff were so friendly and approachable, and even were accepting of my sisters need for alternate milk options.

Probably the best cupcakes that you can eat in Edinburgh if not in all UK. Amazing variety of choices and you can taste the freshness of them. I would strongly recommend also their cakes! Took them couple of times for different occasions and the consistency of the quality and the visual outcome is amazing! Just make sure to give good time ahead your event when you want to order a cake as from period to period look to be very busy

Yay for the macarons! They are dairy and gluten free and I tried 3 flavours (lemon, raspberry and honey) and all were really tasty. My only plea would be more flavours and/or dairy and gluten free options. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely little shop with a lot of very special looking and tasty sweets. Everything prepared fresh and with love. Macarons convinced me from the beginning, Scottish shortbread could be a bit less sweet but nevertheless very enjoyable. Friendly staff and definitely worth stopping by.

Ordered a cake 🎂 for my wife’s 50th as a surprise as was heading to Edinburgh for a few days, contacted Bibis and asked if possible to get it delivered to my hotel, not a problem and the whole transaction was faultless. The cake was there waiting for us and was absolutely lovely. My wife was delighted! Would use again and recommend to anyone, thanks for helping with my surprise, 5 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
