The bistro was so cute and nicely decorated! I loved that they had menu options that were creative/unique. I got the New York Waffle Sandwich and it was delicious. I would absolutely recommend it, and absolutely go back. Service was prompt and kind, as well
Stopped for a quick breakfast before our tours and was not disappointed. Really enjoyed the French toast and coffee. The salmon eggs Benedict also flavorful. The service was attentive and quick. Would recommend
So many delicious food and drink choices ( a great Gluten Free option ), avocado with salmon was perfectly presented! Our whole table enjoyed their meals! 10/10 recommend stopping into Scran!
Stopped here for lunch since they have good vegan options for my vegan and vegetarian friends as well as lots of add ins and variants in the menu. Service was pleasant, the portions were healthy and good value for money. Would go again!!
We had our breakfast at the Scran Bistro. We ordered vegetarian breakfast. There was a short waiting time but we were welcome warmly. The dish was tasty but the quantity could have been more. The table was very small and it was hard to keep 2 plates and tea pot and cups. We loved the small portion of haggis and the paratha like item.
Found this amazing place absolutely accidentally when were passing by. Well, how lucky we were- this is a 💯 gem of the city center. Best Peach Bellini ever🔥 as for the cheesecake… it was so fantastic that I doubt I will ever eat any other cheesecake again. You, guys, just raised that bar unbelievably high. Your fan forever❤️
Fantastic breakfast place! Staff were really friendly and the food was amazing. The veggie stack had some serious height to it and it would have been a challenge to finish even if I wasn’t hungover! A great place to stop by if you find yourself in Edinburgh :)
An absolute MUST if you're in Edinburgh. So many unique options and not to mention all day breakfast, really is something for everyone. I had the avocado and bacon burger with no cheese or burger sauce, not only was it a generous size but really delicious - fresh and full of flavour. The pizza fries are also a MUST! Topped with passata, mozzarella, and pepperoni - one of the best creations I've ever had. Biscoff & caramel milkshake was thick, creamy, and full of flavour.
The staff are really lovely and helpful. Place was clean and well equipped.
Just a note - all three of their venues (two dinner venues with the same menu and one brunch venue with a lunch & brunch menu) are all in the same small walkway. We also visited the brunch venue on a separate occasion, and the staff were very helpful in pointing us in the right direction, so don't be afraid to ask! Already decided we are coming back next week. Highly recommended!
Had a great Scottish breakfast with milkshakes. Haggis and black pudding were the highlights, (we could have done without the potato toast thing.) The food was tasty but a bit pricey.

We decided to try Scran for lunch. We tried the chicken fingers and Cajun fries as well as the Nutella waffles. The food was delicious. The service was okay. It took them a long time to get us our drinks. And when our food arrived the order was not correct however this was all quickly remedied. All in all the food was great!
Went for a Saturday morning breakfast with family have to say absolutely amazing service was lovely. Don’t need to eat now full for the day 👌🏻😀
Really cozy place with great views, nice staff, ordered a veggie breakfast + bacon. Chai latte and orange juice were also good !
The place is located near The national museum of Edinburgh and near the center of the city. A bit small but there are seating area inside and outside. Several foods and drinks options. There is restroom also inside. The prices are a bit expensive and this is because of the location.
really good dishes, pretty decoration and nice employees. the wraps are amazing (especially the mac n cheese one) and it's well located. the only downside was that it was a bit noisy. BUT it's still a really good place to eat at anytime and i totally recommend this restaurant. THANK YOU REALLY MUCH!
We went at the busiest hour and still found a table to eat after 10 min wait. The food was amazing and the staff served very well. A bit noisy but it was because of the people outside the bar. Very good place to eat, we were 3 people and each of us ordered a loaded fries dish and we weren’t able to finish it because of how big the portions was. Very good choice to go.
The food is delicious. We had 4 small plates to share and they were all really tasty. The hummus and fried halloumi were outstanding. I also had a Bloody Mary cocktail and it was yummy. The staff are really friendly. We’ll definitely be back.
