I went here to dine alone around 21.15 on Thursday, and it was wonderful. The restaurant was pretty calm. They have small-company seating available (2-person booths in the back, useful for working or just being alone). Good food (they go light on the salt, very nice compared to the over-salted stuff you can get in some places). The steak was flavorful and cooked as ordered. The staff is so friendly and attentive. Music isn't too loud either. I'll probably return for lunch tomorrow. 😁

As a tourist we came here for a traditional scottish breakfast and were not disappointed. I really enjoyed the Haggis even though my wife was not a fan. The service was great and the food was delicious. Things got crazy as we were there just before the rugby match. But our food came out quickly and we had no issues.

We enjoyed our evening at the Red Squirrel. It was a little awkward coming in, we weren't sure if we were meant to seat ourselves or wait. Unlike a pub vibe it was a little more upscale, once I asked we were told to sit where ever we like. After sitting there a bit, I figured we just ordered at the bar like a lot of pubs, but I missed that one too. They were nice about it, it was just a newbe thing. We started with a bottle of chardonnay and ordered the lamb with taziki and flat bread and my partner ordered the sweet potato soup. One thing we both enjoyed was the 70' period music, it set a fun vibe.

First time I have been in here for a long time. Nice friendly staff, tables are nicely spaced out. Nice clean and tidy pub. The food was very nice too. The club sandwich was fullof ingredients and very filling. The other people had the loaded fries and said that they were excellent as well. Will be back at somepoint in the future.

I hadn't expected to be sitting outside amid the noise and rattling of bins and deliveries of Lothian Road at 9.05 this morning, but there I was. I had a perfectly nice eggs Benedict without the bacon - at my request - and a perfectly nice cappuccino. What really stood out was the lovely and charming waitress, who not only brought the cappuccino immediately, without my even having to ask, but she very charmingly asked if I'd like salt and pepper 'but I'll let you put it on yourself.' Really friendly and delightful service.

Lovely all the way around. Food, Drink, Atmosphere & DOGS are all 5 star. The burgers here are fantastic, especially their vegetarian options (they have 4 that I know of, 2 of which I can guarantee are amazing). I also feel this says a lot, as I am a carnivore. My go to is probably the chicken mushroom burger with Parmesan Truffle fries πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ˜› With that being said, they also have delicious sweet potato fries and a large selection of gin and beers on tap. The ambiance is great for a few drinks or a meal with a few friends, a date, or your best furry friend!! 🐢

Really nice place with a very kind staff. They were very kind to us as tourists and the atmosphere there was so calming. I would recommend hummus as a snack and in winter time the perfect hot chocolate with a cream. Great for a Christmas season. 10/10

Great food and service. Really friendly team of 2 ladies who were on their own and running a great shift. Need to add service charge on as they deserve it for what they do, food and drinks came out fast

We popped in for breakfast & everything was delicious! The fruit topped porridge, a serve of maple bacon pancakes & some smoked salmon with poached eggs on a slab of thick crusty sour dough πŸ˜‹ yum! 10/10 for nice clean toilets too!

It was a lovely place and it was so nice being able to bring our dog in as well, she was even given her own water bowl with a bone biscuit on the plate. It is a lovely place we will definitely be back and recommend it to others.
