Visited the place while in Edinburgh and it was a nice surprise.Really loved the food. The cheesecake was the winner.Tried their meal deal for two and the portions were decent and tasted like home cooked food with not overly powering spices

Not bad!

Cheap, good food, few vegan options and casual ambiance. It can get pretty busy in the evening so I would advise to book a table. The problem is: cash only!!!

So many memories of when I was a student and use to eat here. My favourite is the chicken tikka masala with garlic naan along with Mango lassi !
You definitely cannot leave without trying their sticky toffee pudding.

What a great wee place for great food, very reasonably priced, brilliant service, really good portions, only soft drinks served but it didn't matter. For £17.95 you could get a platter that services 2 with a soft drink each and a cheesecake for 2 to finish. You can also get individual dishes. Can't ask for better than that.. Have been twice now &I will go back again.

The food was tasty. Menu is limited but all the options seemed delicious. The place is a bit cramped and overdone but it's balanced by the food. They had bollywood films playing on TV which pleased me. :)

Amazing ambiance and great place for a cheap curry but left quite disappointed upon trying dishes other than my usual. Definitely recommend the Chicken Domoda which I could have DAILY, but once I tried the Chicken Masala and the Daahl and the Keema found that they were all quite similar in taste which should definitely not be the case!! Indian food has such a variety of flavors and don't feel like this was quite representative of them... Definitely a good portion for the price however and ambiance and location is great so would recommend for a filling but not to expensive meal

One of my ultimate favourites in Edinburgh- such a hidden gem! If you're looking for casual, affordable, Indian dining then this is the place.

My friend and I went for the sharing platter. At £16.95 for three curries, rice, naan, Bajis and finished with a mango cheesecake, this is an excellent value choice!

Don't expect frills here. The curries are simply presented and the selection isn't huge. However, everything tastes amazing.

This is a very cosy venue and a perfect winter warmer. 10 To 10 is also a good venue for solo diners- just sit back on the cushioned chairs and enjoy the Bollywood on TV!

So for those for a quick review here we go.
Student discount
Amazing decor
Amazing chai
Chicken curry and rice is amazing
Portions are good
So in elaborae it's a very popular place for desi food lovers and if you are being adventurous and trying desi Indian food and are too confused you can try thier platter . with variety of things to try from.
Keema sheema is very nice.
The vegetarian options are pretty nice
Ask them to spice it up for you and they ll be more than happy to do it ...or tone it down if you are experimenting with your taste buds.

10 to 10 in Delhi is hidden in plain sight on Nicolson Street, a stone’s throw away from the Royal Mile. Many Edinburgh newbies and visitors make the mistake of passing it by, but the reality is this cute little restaurant/cafe does incredible food at a reasonable price – and you really can’t argue with that.

I had been here once before and on the first day of the fringe this year we decided that as the weather wasn’t up to much, we’d try our chances here instead of one of the outdoor food stalls. 10 to 10 is a very small café/restaurant. It is beautifully adorned with colourful silks and sheets. You will be cosying up to those on the table adjacent to you but don’t let this put you off. As we were really just having a quick bite between shows, we both opted for the meat mixed plate for an incredibly cheap £5.95 each.

The place is well decorated (very typical) but the best thing is the food and the prices. I choose the vegetarian wrap and I really enjoy it. I really recommend this place.

This is my favourite hidden gem! I'm always up for coming back here since the food is amazing and the prices are very affordable. It gets very busy sometimes and it can get very hot inside but it's a fun place to go. The menu is not very extensive which I like and they always ask you how spicy you like your food. I always go for 10 out of 10 which I don't find too spicy and just spicy enough to feel the taste of the dish. They also serve illy coffee which is great and I love their ginger biscuits that they give you with it. The decor is quirky and colourful. The tables are quite close together but it adds to the atmosphere. It's a good place for a cup of coffee/tea or if you're really hungry and want to have a great meal for very cheap. I can definitely recommend this place to everyone who loves curry!

The food quality is amazing and quantity is too much. Authentic Indian restaurant with great taste. The only problem is the space, it is really a small restaurant and the ambience is like a hooka place in India.

It took us quite a while to find this tiny little hipster looking restaurant but when you're in the vicinity, you know there's an amazing Indian restaurant around. The aroma is so strong and the music and ambience give you a very homely feeling. 10 to 10 is the only restaurant I've been to in Edinburgh, with such great value for money! You get massive quantities of meat/chicken/vegetables with complementary naan or rice for under £7. I was so excited about the slow cooked lamb but just as disappointed when I was told that there was none available that night. We ordered a meat plate, vegetarian plate, keema and lamb and all the dishes with garlic naan. Our plates were wiped clean within 10 minutes and all of us were super content. Topped it off with the infamous mango cheesecake which wasn't super sweet and the mango flavor wasn't overpowering and that made it perfect. The only problem i had (apart from the fact that the slow cooked lamb was unavailable) was that everything was served in a very sloppy manner on our plates.
I'd still strongly recommend the Restaurant to anyone who loves flavor and large quantities of food for a tiny price.

You could be forgiven for passing 10 to 10 in Delhi on your way to the bus stop, taking in no more than a glimpse of what looks like a hippy coffee shop. Guilty as charged! Thankfully, my fellow Zomato contributors highlighted this Indian cafe as a 'must-visit' wee gem in Edinburgh, of which I happily obliged.

I entered the colourful cafe and immediately appreciated the cosy interior, from both the warmth of the kitchen and the close proximity of tables to one another. We grabbed the last table for two - a stroke of luck on what was a busy Friday night. My eyes wandered round the eclectic, ethnic decor; beautiful materials hung from the roof and walls, reminding me of when I used to build tents in my living room with sheets and blankets as a wee girl.

Myself and my friend Amie excitedly scanned the menu and opted for the Aloo Palak (spinach and potato) and Chana Masala (curried chickpea) rotis to start, and realised as soon as they arrived that we could've easily shared one. Still, they were both delicious so we happily devoured the two (I particularly liked the Chana Masala). We were thankful for the slow paced service in the cafe, as it allowed for more time to relax in the comfortable setting, digest our starters and have a good old chin wag.

I had no trouble choosing one of our mains to share; the Chicken Domuda was an easy pick given my love of creamy, nutty curries. I was so pleased with my choice, it was really nutty and the sauce was made for scooping up with strips of naan bread. We also went for the Keema Sheema, a tasty minced lamb dish which was an interesting alternative to the kind of dishes I would normally order. Each main comes with rice or a half garlic naan, so we ordered one of each, and an extra half naan for £1, just for good measure. I'm glad we did as the sauce on each dish was far too delicious to waste.

The meal was washed down with my fav fizzy drink - mango Rubicon - and was finished off with a bite-sized, super-sweet cake with an almond topping. It was all fantastic and amounted to a mere £21 between the two of us. We easily could have eaten much less given the portion sizes, but we'll justify the gluttony on being so excited on our first visit.
This is now my top curry spot in city and I would recommend it to anyone who appreciates a quirky setting and an awesome, affordable curry. It won't be long before I'm back!

After a few years in Edinburgh, I've walked by 10 to 10 in Delhi many times and noticed its alluring, cosy ambiance. When two friends and I needed to find a restaurant that would do quick service, we popped in here. They do really reasonable, low-priced Indian food for about £5 for a meal. The food was flavourful and very good for the price - it wasn't the best chicken curry I've ever had but it was good for the price point, and had a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Everytime i come here i think "why don't I come here more often?" and so far i don't have a good reason because it's always good, tasty, quick Indian food.- and good value too.
So, i must come more often.

Highly recommended for many reasons! Cosy, you feel like at home and you can smell all sort of different flavous. Very good portions. Delicious flavours. Vegetarians would love the place. Genuine Indian cuisine! And the prices are so cheap you will not believe it.

I love the ambience in here. The gorgeous colours of their fabrics draped over the ceiling and walls, and lights tinkering like golden suns around this tiny tiny little place.

There's not much seating here but when you do find a table, park your bum and you'll be sitting for 2 hours or so. They have indian movies on, so sit back, relax, order their soooo creamy yummy chai teas, their fresh mini sharing platters and a curry. It feels like you're warped into India, with just fabrics and cushions dancing at your feet, it's very tranquil in here.

I've been a good few times now and it's one of my particulars that I rave about for just it's uber authenticity and decor.

What a hidden gem!

We stumbled upon 10 to 10 in Delhi during the Fringe Festival and we even managed to bag a table, who would have thought that would be possible?!? I'm not sure how we hadn't noticed this place before, it's fantastic.

It was the smell that first drew us in, then we saw the comfy seats, then the enjoyment on diners'  faces with every bite - we were here to stay.

Sharing a meat platter seemed like a good introduction and we weren't wrong, there was plenty of variety of the plate, each mouthful was a new adventure. We could have easily eaten another serving (we weren't even hungry, we just really enjoyed the food!).

We'll definitely be back, it's a cosy little restaurant serving up authentic tasty food. Check it out!

This is edinburgh's only restaurant that I could eat at every day of the week. Not only is this some of the tastiest curry I've ever tried, but the price is spot on for somebody on any budget. A full meal for as little as 2.95 is nothing to scoff at. Every time I walk in I'm greeted by a resounding "Logan! How's it going man?" Top notch service, my curry-loving mother says she hasn't had curry this good in over 20 years (she came to visit from Canada and had to have it twice). Give me the recipe, I want to live off this stuff.

A quaint little restaurant in Edinburgh with spectacular food. The menu isn't large so there is little room for confusion on what to eat, which is always a good thing. You could order anything on the menu and go home a happy satisfied person. Two of us went for dinner and ordered the meal for two to share, the platter consisted of channa curry, chicken curry, keema, chicken pakoras, salad and couscous, rice and naan with 2 drinks and a mango cheesecake for dessert. The meal cost us approx. £16. Totally worth every penny. A very busy place so you might have to wait a little......totally worth the wait. The service was great and the staff very welcoming. Definitely a must visit restaurant.

If you've never been, then do yourself a favour and go. If you have been there before then do yourself a favour and go again soon. It's one of those wonderful gems of an eatery that, when stumbled upon, just brightens up a foodies day.
It's not fancy decor or high end furnishings but it is high quality, tasty food in a very relaxed and informal setting. The menu is not hugely extensive but it has plenty variety and everything that comes out of the kitchen is fabulous! Do not assume that the low price is in anyway a negative indication of either the portion size or the quality - it's just another big fat tick in the box that says "Go to In Delhi now".

10 to 10 in Delhi is my favorite restaurant in all of Edinburgh, regardless of cost. Add in the cost and it might be my favorite place to eat anywhere. I walk into the dining room (it feels like more of a home than a restaurant and that's a good thing) and most of the staff is all smiles waving hello. They make an effort to get to know their customers and treat them very well. I always get the Chana Masala with Nan Bread for 3.50 (yeah, that's right, less than a fiver). The dessert is fantastic as well. I would trust 10 to 10 making anything. Plus, their environment makes me feel at home. It's a must-eat.

I was a bit indecisive about trying this place for a while not sure why. Ended up deciding to try it for a change and were surprised at the warm welcome with a cosy atmosphere during the winter season as it was cold and dark outside. Service was great considering the place was full so feeling grateful to have managed to get seated straight away with menus. Ended up ordering a platter for 2 which was amazing not completely desi but really great value for money and something slightly different from the normal curry spots I tend to visit. Had a cheesecake dessert which was pleasant with desi chai which I couldn't fault. Will definitely come back as I found it to be a very joyful experience as sometimes these places can be a disappointment.

Love the food, its really savoury, you can taste all the herbs, the meat is fall of the bone. The portion is huge, i buy the in the bone meal, and even though on the menu it didnt say it comes with a rice, i got the rice with it, and because i dont know it comes with rice, i ask for a bread, and i couldn't even tell you how full i am. Oh and also because there are many customer when i came, they also forgot to give me the chili sauce. But its okay, the price is really cheap. Will definitely visit again someday

The cozy and colorful atmosphere are so inviting. But what really drew me inside were the heavenly smells wafting from the open door. I am so glad we decided to take a chance and stop in. The food is so incredible! Everything was very flavorful, the rice so soft, and the naan was absolute perfection. I am so disappointed that we are only visiting Edinburgh, because I would eat here frequently otherwise. This little spot is an absolute must if you are in Edinburgh.

Really good home style food! Not oily, not spicy (you could order it hot though). Was very surprised with how tasty all the preparation and super affordable. More of a casual homey restaurant in university area, small kitchen, friendly staff, and decked up like alladin's cave!
