Amazing to find this French restaurant. Warm welcome and great service. The seafood price is lower than the others in the city centre. Green salad, olives, salami and baguette is free of charge and do not set fixed complimentary tips, varieties of wine and food for your choice. I ordered a seafood p
Have been wanting to try this place for ages and it met all my expectations! A really cute bustling place with a great (albeit noisy) atmosphere and excellent food. The house red wine was great, and we indulged in a few of them! I had the steak frites which was such a reasonable price and was really
Very vibrant & authentic place for dinner. Reasonably priced for the business in the city centre. Soon as we were seated the staff came along with fresh salad, bread, olive & salami. Such a wonderful start... I tried frog for the first time and it was so yummy!
The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The service was super fast. The food itself was incredible. Before you even get to the parts you order they bring salad, salami, olives and bread to the table. From there the soup, frogs legs and snails were amazing to start. The cassoulet and rabbi
Really nice French bistro. Excellent steak frites. Go for the lunch menu set for values. Crowded but nice vibes. Service can be a bit slow during peak hours - but always done with a smile despite the heavy traffics.
The lunch menu is very good! Cheap and delicious. After 12:00, many local people came and eat, the table are all occupied soon.
I was able to get a table very quick before a rush. The atmosphere is extremely loud with chatter and phone ringing nonstop. However, I had no issues with service. I had the lunch 3- courses. I like the French onion soup, the steak and frites were good but too prepper-y, and the chocolate mousse was
This place is fun and bustling and the prices are very reasonable. I popped in for a quick snack. I ordered the frog legs and 1/2 lobster. Highly recommend the frog legs as they are hard to find and they prepared them perfectly. *They also bring you olives, salami, bread and a small butter lettuce s
Fantastic meal tonight, we both had the surf and turf with the half lobster. Cooked to perfection. Great service. Five stars.
Casual bustling atmosphere, great for a quick lunch. The value of the set menu was appealing, but food was unfortunately not as delicious. Coq au vin was served lukewarm and the pana cotta was too thick. Maybe better earlier in the afternoon when food is fresh.
Chez Jules is a French restaurant in Edinburgh, located on Hanover Street. I went there for the first time last week, and I was very positively surprised. The menu is more French than in most French restaurants in France! It's really not common to be able to order escargots, cuisses de grenouilles,
Visited Chez Jules more times that I can count in my 4 years of studying in Edinburgh – the most value-for-money, scrumptious steak and seafood meal you can find for sure! My partner and I have been craving their french onion soup ever since we left the UK. The atmosphere is so cozy and perfect for
C’est tres bon! Exemplary French food and perfect service. The restaurant had a fabulous buzz, was full (book ahead) but orders were taken quickly, food arrived in reasonable time and was perfectly cooked. The menu is extensive covering all the French classics.
The reviews do not lie here people!!! This place is an absolute must if you're in Edinburgh. If you are a foodie or a French food snob this is the place for you. Lets start with the atmosphere. This place is packed, but if there is a wait, you need to wait. While it might be overwhelming at first,
I sat outside without booking so didn’t get to experience inside the restaurant, but it seems lovely. The sauce for steak was very tasty and peppery, however the meat itself a bit hard to chew—but it is still good value of money! Will come again to sit inside and experience the restaurant better and
Today was my 4th time at this restaurant and every time has been magnificent. We had the 3 course menu with some house wine. So delicious with amazing service. Eat here! You won’t regret it 🇫🇷
They offered olives and salami, it was kind. I liked the frog legs starter, seasoned with garlic, eventhough not salted enough, goes well with slices of baguette. Coq au vin was kind of disappointing, we feel to much the bitter and sour taste of wine. The side gratin dauphinois was good. Ambiance is
got the lobster and oysters, and their seafood was so fresh and delicious! comes with free salami, bread and salad too. really worth to come for their lunch menu. make sure to get a reservation as the place is usually very crowded
